Hi all, This may be abit silly, but I have no idea what clothes to take to the hospital for the baby as it is so warm. The temperature will be in the 30's and I am really stuck as most things I have read have said a vest and babygrow, but I cant help thinking this will be too warm? Any advise would be gratefully received!

I wouldn't use both when it's so hot. Just a babygrow/sleepsuit would be enough, and pack a thin blanket or something just in case you leave when it's not so hot and you need it for the way home. I do like the vest tops when they've still got the cord attached though, as you don't have the poppers opening over the top of it, so if you've got any light newborn trousers you could always use a vest top and some of those, or a romper that doesn't do up down the front like this http://www.greenchild.co.uk/rompers...y-organics-for-kids-2113134-395046-701568.php

Ooh yeah forgot about rompers and Jacob is wearing one today :wall2: lol

My last 1 was born in august and I couldn't believe how fussy they were that I put loads of layers on her. Don't know why!! Maternity wards are hotter than the sun.

I am going to take lots of different layers, ie: vests, babygrows and a cardy to be prepared for all weathers. Better to have too much than too little x

Grace was born in august and it was so hot on the ward, they wanted me to put her in a vest and baby gro!! Much to warm in my eyes for that and Grace is a proper hot bod. I just put the one layer inside like a romper suit or something and just add another layer for when you leave hospital.

My ex-inlaws sent me some vests over from malta that would be perfect! They wrap like over the tummy and fasten at the sides! My two have outgrown them so I can't look to see the make, but il rack my brains for you! Tbh I'd just stick with vests or a little romper suit! If I was still on speaking terms I'd Ask SIL what she had hers in!
