Hello ladies,

My baby is due in August and so far I have bought 6 long sleeve baby grows and 7 short sleeve vests.

Just wondering, do you think the long sleeve rompers plus vest will be too warm for a baby in summer? I saw some short sleeve/short leg rompers but am worried baby might get too cold in these?

Anyone had a summer baby??

Thanks x x

I had a winter baby, but in the summer she was just in a vest and sleeping bag at night or a vest and top/trousers during the day. I think it would just depend on how warm the day is (as we have cool summers up here) but a vest and romper sound fine. Just keep an eye and make sure they aren't getting too warm :)

Short sleeved body suits are the best on really warm days :)

What you've got will be fine for cooler days and nights unless it's a super hot summer. I'd get some of the short legged and sleeved ones too but if it gets really hot I'd use just a vest in some circumstances. It's much harder to dress a boy in summer, you can get some really lovely summer dresses for girls.

My baby is also du in august :) i think i will be asking my mum the whole time what she should be wearing haha

Hello

We had our daughter start of september and it was still hot in the day, we dressed her in short sleeved rompers (the ones that look like vests with very short legs) you can get some very thin cotton ones from some places. At night it wasn't too hot so we just per her in her nappy in a kiddopotamus

I assume since this was posted in 2010 she has found appropriate summer attire for her child.
