What are we getting our Baby Daddies for Fathers Day?

I know kitten. Their hands and feet are so cute at this stage. I had hoped to have it done by now. He is getting a little chubbier and will need to hurry up before they won't fit in the frame lol. Hope it works- will be so disappointed if it doesn't.

Only other option there is here is getting an imprint of hands onto a mug. Problem with that is I'm guessing hubby will never use it for fear of breaking it. It would be so upsetting if something like that broke.

one tip babbybo that i read is due to the difficulty of getting little hands n feet to stay still in the plastermix for 1-2mins i read that using playdoh to make the mould is better as can do it quicker then pour gel into that...we've bought ingredients to make own playdoh n plaster so we can try as many times as we need. the kits dont come with much n knowing our little wriggler its only way we'll get it sussed....

agreed on mug thing but cudnt think of nethin non tacky to get him...(he doesnt go in for printed tshirts etc)

Probably a silly question but how do you make it with playdoh?

I thought about the tshirt thing for when baby was born but couldn't decide what to put on it & then baby came before I did anything about it. Think I'm still going to do the mug thing and maybe get one for my daddy and father in law&hopefully they don't get broken.

you push hand/foot into playdoh then pour the gel into the imprint, the gel then becomes the mould...think there r vids on youtube about it...depends whether you're after a positive or negative imprint (yeah threw me at first too...) basically do you want a flat surface to have their footprint pushed into it (negative) or a raised footprint to put into a frame like decoupage (positive)...

Think I get it. I'll have a search and see if I can find a video. Thanks Kitten. The set I got has alginate in it though not looking forward to trying to get his wee foot out tho apparently its fine. I'll let you know how I get on. Good luck with yours too.
