Wedding Skincare Tips??

Hello!!!

My wedding is looming and is only 3 months away. I have a terrible Skincare regime at the moment- beauty wipes (primark) and a cheap moisturiser.

My skin is dry on the cheeks and normal on my Tzone so don't know if I fall into the combination category.

Anyway, I want a regime that will make my skin as good as it could be for my wedding. It's not bad, it just could be better. Luckily I don't get many spots!!!

So has anyone got any tips? I don't mind spending a bit of money, my current products are more down to laziness and the fact my Chanel foundation does a lot of the hard work!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

Ooooo how exiting and congratulations!!

For general skin care, I make sure I take off my make up every night and in the mornings I put regular Oil of Olay on - just a little bit but enough to keep it moisturised. I found that was the only cream that didn't give me spots.

For the wedding, I would advise to stop/limit the use of foundation and other skin make up that you use dramatically. It will give your skin plenty of time to breath and bring anything up to the surface and cleared way before the wedding.
Also if you're wanting a tan, I would recommend using a sun booth rather than fake tan cream. Start getting your skin accustomed to it now. I started at around 3 months and did 4mins the first 3 weeks, then slowly increased it to 9 mins the week before the wedding.
If you want to try new products on your skin, make sure you do it no later than a month before the wedding incase you have an allergic reaction to any of them.
If you're thinking of getting a facial, try no later than 2 weeks before the wedding (unless you're already used to them) just incase it triggers off a lot of gunk to come to the surface in the form of spots.
Also for eyebrows, if you're looking to improve their shape, also start now with threading. It can sometimes take a while to get them to the shape you prefer.

Sorry it's not directly answering your question but they are some tips I did and learnt from my own wedding.
Xxx

Ah wow!! Thanks! There's loads of really useful info :-) x

Do you do facial steams?? Can really help to clear pores :-) xx

My wedding is soon as well and I've no idea what to do for skin prep.

hey there I just got :wed: 3 weeks ago and for 6 months before the wedding I used simple cleanser toner and moisturiser twice a day and it my skin feel and look brilliant

Thanks ladies- I went for the soap and glory range in the end and it's fantastic!! Already seeing a huge difference in my skin :-) they do a lovely peachy smelling hot cloth wash and I feel sooo clean!

It's definitely sorting out any dry patches and foundations looking much better :-) x

An everyday regime is a must. Make sure you clean your face in the evening and heavens - do not use the soap! No matter how good it destroys the lipid layer. Gentle cleanser (e.g. Olay) and moisturiser (I love Nivea Soft) will do the trick. I'm not strong-willed enough to do that in the evening but in the morning I absolutely always use the toner. I won't reccommend the brand here as you won't get it in the UK :(

Once a week I put a spoonful of white oats into a... nylon sock, tie and dip it into warm water until it gets little white and then apply on my face (not the water but the "sap" from the sock). Sounds weird - I know. Let it dry just a little and rinse. I'm always amazed how soft my skin feels.

Have you chosen the dress for the wedding. Recently I got a dress from a boutique (see the link) and I can see they do have some lovely wedding dresses. Not for me I'm afraid (already married) :(
