I'm jealous! I'm excited about weaning - i have a box with all the things i've collected for it so far! I think Fi will be an early weaner as she spends all of her time staring at other people eating and smacking her lips together! hehe. I'll wait until someone tells me to do it but im guessing it'll be nearer 4 months than 6 - though we'll see!

i felt like that too, but so far solid foods have make no difference at all to my greedy little boy's booby habit - eg yesterday - he fed at 5am, 7.10am, 8am, 9.10am, 11.20am (LUNCH at 1pm), 1.40pm, 3.45pm, 5pm (DINNER at 5.20pm), 7.20pm, 9pm

Well Becky didn't even stir until 6 today, had a feed and then was up and at 'em at about half 7. She is very bouncy this morning!
I've just popped on while I have a minute- am currently making up loads of different food stuffs for my freezer! 
I've been nibbling as I go long too!I found this wholesomebabyfood - has some great advice and recipes. hope it helps

I currently have loads of food pots in my freezer I've made up:
Carrot
Sweet Potato
Carrot and Sweet Potato
Apple
Sweet Potato and Apple
Pear
Apple and Pear
I still have a load more veggies to do but I've burnt my finger on the steamer

We had carrot and rice for dinner tonight (carrot on its own got spat out). Word of warning though... take all her clothes off before you feed her carrot
Eva had her first tastes today!!! She had a tiny bit of baby rice which she wanted to do herself, she kept grabbing the spoon and slurping the rice off it, and yelled at me for a bit more when I was taking too long getting some on the spoon! It was very exciting lol. Not sure how much she actually swallowed cos her fingers kept going in and rice was dribbling out the side of her mouth
Also gave her a little piece of banana to see what she would do with it....
.....mostly smeared it about and put it on the floor but she did try to get it in her mouth, it just kept slipping through her hand and sliding down her arm
It was great, she seemed happy and I feel confident we have done the right thing starting weaning a little bit early

Think I'm gonna try him with some carrot tomorrow, is it best to mix it with baby rice and milk or just some milk to make it sloppy?

Connie is now on Day 4 of baby rice only (this is like Big Brother this)... DAY 4 IN THE WEANING HOUSE! CONNIE EATS RICE! AGAIN!
Anyway she's well and truly got the hang of it now. She's mardy if it doesn't come fast enough and she's taken to grabbing the spoon off me and shoving it in her mouth. We had a slight hiccup when daddy fed her for the first time tonight and hit something hard with the spoon... OH MY GOD SHE'S GETTING A TOOTH (top first what a freak).
Anyway she's now on 5oz of milk and 2oz of baby rice at 5.30pm then 6oz of milk at 7.30pm
she'll soon be back up to the 75th percentile reflux is better too.
When do I move on to feeding her at another time of day? Couple of weeks??
Took photos tonight, they're hilarious and quite similar to DSL's will post when I get internet at home xxx

yeah with my bounty pack i think!I've got 2x pear, 1x Apple + Pear, 2x Apple, 3x carrot, 1xcarrot +sweet potato, 2x sweet potato and 1x sweet potato and apple. It's about a weeks worth

There's a voucher in the one you probably should have got, just found it in a booklet called "your newborn". I'm sure Boots would have the forms and you could get a second
Love the pics Jade, I will try and get some today
Gonna try Charlie with some carrot today (just on its own I think), do you still have to mix some milk in with it? Also if you are making a weeks worth of food up and freezing, when you have defrosted it, do you then warm it in the microwave and then add some milk?
(I know I've done this before, but it all seemed so much easier then and I can't remember what I did and what order I did them in )
