Weaning off the boob :(

I don't think LO wants boobie milk any more . He always fidgets, scratching, pinching, biting, it's no linger a nice experiences for either of us so I'm thinking maybe 11 months is long enough...

Thing is I'm completely clueless an bout what we should do instead. He drinks diluted juice from a nuby grip n sip during the day, should I give him milk in that or try to give him a bottle? I'm planning on just dropping one feed per week, I don't want to do it but I don't think I have a choice

If u gradually r weaning hum off the boob I guess it will take atleast a month n I wouldn't think a bottle was nessisary, I would keep him on one beaker of milk nighttime. Will u express, give formula 1+ or cows milk?
I'm planning on dropping a bottle soon, I want Noa to have a beaker at night when he's 1.

Do u feel sad? I felt sad when Noa lost intrest. At 7 month he refused boob.

I'm going to try follow on milk to start with and see how we get on....

Has he ever had a bottle?
I never expressed but started Noa on 1 bottle formula every night at 5 month he hated it but after a few days be was fine.
U.have done so well

No, he's never had a bottle - I'm going to give it to him straight in a beaker. I will bf at night time I think. It's such an important part of his routine, and it means I still get a nice cuddle at the of the day lol

Well done for getting to 11 months! Isla is doing something similar. She bites and plays, making it a horrible experience I've been trying many many bottles with her and found the gripper one to work well, she puts her finger on the teat to control the flow! Good luck xxx

By the time you wean to a beaker or bottle, you will prob have BF for a full 12 months , which is hugely fantastic!!! You have no need to feel bad , but I do understand. I would go for a beaker as you have gone so long rather than start something new now.

Devon has been doing this mucking about, chewing and now biting, (he has 4 teath now), and so I hope I can last till 11/12 months like you too - well done

No worries. Most places do them, they have a hole in the middle for baby to grip hold off. It's just a bog standard teat but Isla does really well with them. She took nearly 4oz today (of formula as I can't express enough for her) xx
