We really like the name Spencer for a boy.

However my mums cousin had a boy just before we had chester and named him Spencer. Now if I past this relative in the street I dont think i'd recognise her, it would only be if I was with my mum.

Would you use it?

I've got a close friend whose OH's name is Spencer, I love it!

If you don't know this woman, then don't worry about it - use it!

Yeah i would still use it. I'm sure it won't matter as ur not close to her and don't see them much. There's alot of familys taht carry on a certain name etc anyway so dont see what difference it will make :D

I wanted to call Isaac Sonny but my cousin's son is called Sonny too. Wouldn't be so bad, I ever see her, but the surname would be the same, she's married to a man with the same surname as Jed so it would have been exactly the same :(

Still love the name Sonny too, was gutted !

:)

i would ask your mum to mention it to your cousin . Its a fairly distant relative to you and not a drastically uncommon name so i would have thought it would be ok, but just out of courtesy really. You could always get her to say you were ALWAYS planning to call him spencer for family reasons on your OH side :fib: :fib:
