Water birth

Hi all

can anyone give me any advice on a water birth?

Im in two minds and not sure if to have one or not. If i have one i have to swap hospitals. Thats my main concern as i like the hospital where i am booked into.

I found the water really relaxing, and made a huge difference to the pain.

I didn't manage to stay in for the birth cos my contractions out paced my dilation, so I wanted to push at 4cm and needed morphine to relax things a bit.

But I'll definitely be going for it the next time. Also they say that it makes you less likely to tear. Xxx

I can't speak from personal experience, but I imagine it's really wonderful to have a water birth

It's what I wanted for my labour, but unfortunately I ended up being induced - gutted!
