Waiting for Depo to be gone

Hi everyone, i'm Jade, I have been a member for about 6 years so I may recognise some of you... I however have a different username.

I have been on the Depo injection now since September 2010, so just over 2 years. My last jab was September this year and i'm due my next jab on 21st September but that's for an 11 week appointment, so for 12 weeks sake it runs out on 28th.

Just wanting some words of wisdom after hearing alot of horror stories about fertility returning back to normal. Anyone with any experiences about TTC after depo?

I had depo for 9months before TTC my first. My last jab was in the June so ran out in the sept. I had my first AF in the nov and thankfully settled into a 28 day cycle. We had an early mc in feb 2011 then got my BFP with my son in the April. I was lucky that the depo wore off quickly as I have heard it can take up to a year for AF to return as it takes a while to leave your system. I also had so many pregnancy symptoms following the injection (more than I had when I was actually preg!) so felt pretty rough for a few months. I hope the depo wears off quickly for you! X

Thank you! I've always been pretty fertile before so i'm hoping it will come back soon. OH bless him is 30 and has no children of his own so I hope it's not going to take years, for his sake x

I was on depo. My injection run out in July 2010 and I fell pregnant may 2011. ( I think) lol

If I can give you any hope …I fell pregnant whilst actually on depo! And I have severe endometriosis so be prepared for anything x

I was on depo for over 10 years It took 6 months for my cycle to return and then 4/5 cycles to concieve I now have a beautiful son whos nearly 11 months

I was on the depo for 2 years. had last jab in june 2011 and had my first AF in april 2012 so took 7 months for it to leave my system. I then had regular 40 day cycles. I had a chemical pregnancy in july. OH and I decided not to try on the next cycle but the cycle after that we did and got caught. I am now due to have my baby in may 2013. Good luck hun.

I'm in same boat as you hunny!! Only Been On Mine From Feb 12 & Stopped In November.. Just Waiting For It To Happen!! When I Conceived My Daughter It Took About 2 Months After Being On The Pill.. But Thats Just Because I Was To Confused With The Ovulation (1st Baby So Didnt Have A Clue About Trying).. But I've Heard It Can Take Weeks Months & Years And Sometimes Not Even At All.. Lets Hope Were The Lucky Ones!!
