Hey ladies :)

This is a totally un-pregnancy-related question lol but what the hell :-)

Ok so, im 20.. pregnant with my second (Was a mistake, but making the best of a bad situation, i suppose) and im about to move out into my own home with my son and bump.

My question is, does anybody know any really good bargain places for EVERYTHING :help:
Pots,pans,towels,utensils,bath mats,bed.. etc.

Iv got a huge list of things im going to buy next week with my budgeting loan and community care grant, but want to make my money stretch and iv no idea where to shop as, iv never had to do this before!!

Any replies will be appreciated :-)

:thanks:

Ikea - is ok - But sometimes I find certain kitchen things expensive...for what they are???

Where do you live - I know 2 good places near me - but not sure if they are everywhere in the UK:

Home & Bargains

&

Bi-ology

They are amazing!! Have you heard of them???

Other than that - you could always try Car Boots sales!! Always bargains there???

Argos - sales are good you can get cheap sets!!

Also - papers / advertising... long to look thru - but im sure there are some good deals??

hope that helps!!

Good Luck with the move and I hope you find everything you need

Ooo, a lot of supermarkets to own brand kitchen utensils and things as well, tesco and morrisons especially. They're not fabulous but will do in a pinch.

xx

We're in the same situation at the minute here's some of the places we've been looking at;
HomeBargains
Wilkinsons
EBay
Local adverts
Preloved.com
Tesco
Asda
Argos

You could always try freecycle, I have had some good bits from there or Matalan, Asda, Tesco, Wilkinsons.

Good luck

I love eBay, argos and willkinsons for home stuff x x

Home bargains & Wilkinsons are bound to have some bargains (although everytime i go in, i end up spending a fortune, because i end up buying so much!).

Good luck x

Asda do good cheap kitchen stuff, I got some plain white plates and bowls in a set for like £3. Bought 2 sets so dont run out all the time tho!! They dont look naff, anyway. You can get glasses, cutlery etc cheap there too.

for electrical stuff I always look on the internet, if you know how to use google shopping you can find some good bargains. And for the big stuff like hoover, washing machine, tele etc... dixons online (they dont have stores anymore) was always the cheapest when we were furnishing our place in February. They do free delivery too.

Good luck!

I love asda for my cheap household stuff. Asda smart price is awesome :)

I'd say deffo try freecycle you can pick up all sorts of great stuff if money is tight - charity shops and bootsales would be my second coice - especially as bootsales are in season x

asda, wilkinson, B&M & home bargains is where all our things came from when we first set up home,

good luck

xxx

Asda have some great stuff that's really cheap - go to a big store if you have one near you. I bought loads of stuff for my flat when I first moved out thinking I'd replace it with better when I had more pennies and we're still using it now. Also I find Tesco Extra to be brilliant. Gumtree and Preloved can have some good second hand furniture on. We round Ikea good for furniture and lots of household things too.

Wilkinsons, Tesco and Argos we usually use.

Have you signed up to www.kidstart.co.uk - if you buy stuff online you get money back into a savings account of your choice - only a small percentage per purchase but if you're having to get loads of house stuff you might get quite a bit back in total. There are tons of shops on there that are signed up to it - Tesco and Asda as well.

Wow ladies, thanks for all the replies!!

We have a homebargains here too, how amazing is that place!! Picked up some great bargains like tea towels etc there.. They also have the household cleaning things dead cheap there that are like £7 in other stores!!

Iv just seen that ikea have a sale!!!! I will definently be going there!

Iv also picked up some stuff from asda, like my breadbin, coffee/tea/sugar jars and cups.

I move in like a week - time to get shopping i think :-D

I got most of my bits from asda (they had a sale on cleaning stuff when i moved) Tesco and argos, but sometimes its better to spend abit more money on certain things as buying cheap they may break quicker like i found with a few of my things and have ended up spending more because iv had to go out and buy a new item. My tin opener broke a couple weeks in and so i had to get one off my mum but am getting a one touch one soon as i no it wont break on me lol good luck with the move :) x
