Im not quite sure what you mean, are you just saying that the whole nappy is really wet ,like a towel dunked in water? Thats the way Evies nappies are when i take the wrap off, it just because they absorb so well that it spread through the whole nappy, but it keeps the wetness off their skin.
Also with the wrap i dont bother wiping them in between nappies as they seem to air dry when im changing the nappy. When they are dirty (i.e when the velcro straps start to get yellowy colured or they smell, then i just put them in the washing machine with the nappies.
just give me a shout if you need anymore help :D .

Sorry forgot to say i use little lambs. :)

Im interested in peoples reply to this too as Jake soaks his nappies. He can only be in them for an hour and he gets them so wet. Sometimes he soaks them so much it makes his clothes wet where the edge od the nappy is round the legs, at the top front and back. I just put this down to him being a heavy wetter and especially being a boy (its alot wetter at the front obviously)

I use little lambs nappies and terries squares as spares and little lambs wraps and cotton bottoms wraps.

Thanks girls - that's really helpful - I hadn't thought of the pee soaking through the whole nappy as they are so absorbent. It is like a sodden towel, exactly.

I just went to change her just now and wasn't sure if I should be taking a clean cloth to the outer wrap but it did just air dry very quickly. You know how you worry!

Another question - do you guys use liners and if so fleece or disposable? I'm using eco disposable liners and I can see the point if there would be solid poo (take off and flush down the loo) but at the moment, it kind of disintegrates and the whole nappy is so soaking, I'm not sure if they are any use or if it would be a bad idea to stop using them and just use the wrap and shaped nappy or maybe fleece are much better (but then even bulkier nappies?)?

Thanks again!

Valentine xxx

I use the fleece liner, i dont think it makes the nappy that much bulkier but I use 2 booster pads with him anyway

Im secretly jealous- i wish my undies were made out of that lovely fleecy material :rotfl:

Hi Valentine,
I use bamboozles with the same wraps as you (Evie has just progressed on to her size 2's :( - can't believe how quickly the last 6 months have gone, size 1's are now all cleaned up and put away for baba number two :) )

the whole nappy is sodden
This is fine, even when the velcro fastenings are wet, means the nappy is doing its job!

Also, I know you should change the wipe clean wrap daily, but how do you clean this?
The same as little red, I air dry it while changing the nappy and then put them in the wash with the nappies when they get smelly or really wet

I didn't use any liners until Evie started weaning. While she was exclusively breastfed her poos were really watery and, like you, found the paper liners just disintergrated. The poos happily washed away in the washing machine and any staining on the nappies goes when you put them in the sun (when we have some!).
I did have to use some bamboo boosters for nightime from when she was about 4 months as I found she was leaking overnight.
I am now using the paper liners now she is weaning and her poos are more solid. Much better as you can just remove the poo and flush it down the loo.

Good luck with it all, cloth is great

.

Stanley did this until I switched to motherease wraps. Now the nappy can be sodden wet through but nothing escapes the wrap :D

i use motherease, and disposable liners, but my DD is nearly 2 and can really fill her nappy when shes goes, some times OH forgets the liner and its not plesant trying to remove the mess.

As with the wraps, i have ended up with so many that i chance the wrap every time i change nappy, i like to have matching as i have dyed all mine pretty colours :rotfl:

cant wait to start buying small size wraps for new baby

I love Fleece liners I find they don't bunch up like the disposbale liners...

Logan is a heavy wetter and his nappies can be soaking all over in just an hour.. I have now discovered wool wraps and they are fab. They wick moisture away from the napp so it slowly evaporates and he can be in it all night ( with a tots bots fluffle) and when he wakes in the morning the nappy is dry!!!!!!!!!

I now have him wearing this around the house in the day too as they are like little wolly trousers! PM me if you want any more info on this! lol
