Using a Tens machine for back ache???

Hiya,
Just wondering if anyone has used their Tens for back ache?? I'm heading on for 38 weeks and by the evening have REALLY bad lower back ache.....last night was even starting to think it may be early signs of labour??!! But nothing this morning My Tens arrived last week and it says it's safe to use after 36 weeks, but does that mean labour after 36 weeks or general use?????

It means you can try it to see how it works but don't use it before you go into labour. I don't know why it's not recommended but I wouldn't use it for more than a few seconds (and didn't) during late pregnancy. Twinges in your lower back (can be worse depending on how bub is lying) are very common in late pregnancy.
