TENS machine

i have been suffering with real bad rib and back ache now for a while , my friend gave me her TENS machine and said it realy helps with back ache, i had a quick go with it it seems to ease the pain, any ideas if they are safe to use im now 31weeks :

I'm sorry to hear that you're having bad backache. I did a little research for you and, according to the National Childbirth Trust, TENS machines should not be used before 37 weeks, so it sounds like you have a little longer to wait before you can use it

Have you been in touch with your doctor to see if they can help you? I wish you good luck, I hope you can get some relief for the pain you are experiencing.

I hate to sound stupied but what is a TENS machines? I have never heard of it! So please someone fill me in!

its this lil thing with pads on it you stick the pads to your back or were ever the pain is the pads give you a lil pins and needle feeling nothing painfull and its ment to help with the pain ppl use them through labour
