I have had a 'thing' growing on my thumb for a few months now, my mum saw it yesterday and thinks its a wart - its disgusting and soooo embarassing - can i get rid of it, i have seen adverts for that Bazooka gel thingy - does it work? im gonna Boots on my dinner so will have a look!

Bazooka works but takes ages .
Make an appointment for Doctors at wart clinic he will freeze it.
Its a little nippy but it works quick

i had warts as a kid/teenager and the doc froze them off but they came back worse. Once you get them you apparently have the virus for life. (its harmless) And theres an old wives tail that says all warts disapear anyway after 7 years. I worked out to be true in my case. (i also had them on my hands, hated them, spent most my teen years wearing gloves )

I had them on one hand when younger, spent ages hiding them, they were horrible, i tried treating them and they got smaller then one day jsut disappeared and havnt had any since.

I also suffered badly with verucas but they did the same thing, jsut disappeared after a while by themselves, now im one of those people who constantly checks their feet for new ones cos theres no way i'm getting them again

Dunno how effective it is but if you use apple cider vinegar on it its ment to work.

-Each night before going to bed soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, apply it to the wart and then hold it in place with a plaster. Leave it on all night, or if you like, 24 hours a day but change the soaked cotton and plaster each evening for a week.

The wart will swell and throb a little as it reacts with the vinegar and then start to turn black within the first two days and after a week or two will be completely gone.

My friend has something similar to this, on her index finger.. i think it was a wart, i can't remember.. Yeah i think bazooka will probs work, but personally i'd go to the doctors and get them to freeze it off becuase im too lazy to deal with putting the bazooka stuff on all the time

what exactly is a wart? i kno theyre protrusions that witches are meant to hav on the tip of their noses but i think iv only seen them in cartoons and u cant really tell what they are on cartoons. are they hard lumps or juicey like spots? and do they really have hairs on the end like on the cartoons? sorry if im being really dumb if i had what i *thought* might be a wart, i would grit my teeth and chop it off with nail clippers! would that be possible unless they are really hard like bone

I think its just like hard skin really, with little blackish dots in them sometimes (think theyre the roots or something) and i dont think theyre painful, my friend never moaned about it..

They're just like hard skin well the ones on your hands are dunno about the face ones? I had one on my hand and then soon as I started working full time in the florist it dissapered in about a week! I think it just wanted some grimey stuff from flowers or something!
