My cousin is 29 weeks pregnant, and she's just fallen down the stairs and had a big gush of water  She says it was no where near enough for it to be her full waters. Could it be her hind waters or something? Will baby be ok if it is her hind waters?
She's trying to ring her midwife but theres no answer  She isn't in any pain or anything...

If I was worried I would go to the hospital just in case.

Dont bother with the midwife get her straight to hospital, shes hada nasty fall and the lo will need to be checked

Deffo a job for the hospital hun - they'll wanna check her out, and she'll want peace of mind.
Midwife will prob just tell her to go hospital anyway even if you could get hold of her.
They'll monitor her & baby and just do the necessary checks.
Let us know how she gets on, hope all turns out well

if that was me i wouldn't waste any time and id get to the hospital

I've told her to go to the hospital but she won't go :?
She says baby is moving and she's fine

I really think she needs to go to the hosp :(

I have no experience of this so I apologise if I sound too panicky but would it be an idea to possibly call the NHS and see what they say on her behalf?

It's a 24 hr service and calls are answered by nurses...

Fingers crossed everything is ok

xx

If it was some waters, there is a risk of infection to the baby so she would be best to go and get checked just to be sure

WTF?? This is serious! Tell her to get to hospital NOW!

im with urchin on this one. if she wont go to hsopital ring the emergency dr and send him to her or some thing, dont let her not go to hospital, she needs to know if baby is ok and if it was her waters

She needs to go to hospital  Even if it wasn't her waters she still needs to get checked over because she fell down the stairs

I think she should go to A&E if she can't get hold of her midwife, like the others have said, if her waters have started to go she could be susceptible to infection. If babys moving thats a very good sign, but she should still be checked over.
I hope she's ok

After an hour on the phone to her last night I managed to convince her to go to the hospital! She was still reluctant but she was examined and told it wasn't her waters and she is fine

I'm glad she went to get checked and that all's well. :D

So glad she is OK - I only just saw this thread but I fell down the stairs last week too and got checked out but I went to the loo about 10 times straight after, think the shock and pressure on my bladder was just too much.
V scary for her hope she isnt too bruised - I still have carpet burns on my elbows!!

glad she's ok. it was wise of her to go and be checked
