if you have Cow & Gate baby balance stage 3 jar called my favourite spaghetti bolognese with serial number (on the lid) 107486 i would advise you to throw it away as when i was feeding willow this yesterday she choked on a piece of wood that was in the jar i tipped her up to clear her throat and she sputtered stuff out so i put her back in her high chair but i noticed she was struggling to get rid of a piece of "food" in her mouth so i pulled it out with my finger and it was a piece of wood  so i have contacted cow and gate and i am waiting for them to send out packaging so i can send it all off for them to look at which should take a few weeks so until then i am staying away from this jar until i have answers and compensation as i was down A&E wilth Willow all afternoon in case she had swallowd anymore and she had to have an x ray she was so scared, luckily she is ok, but when i think about what could have happened :puke: . :(

UPDATE

Well i got a letter this morning comfirming it was a peice of wood in willows jar and thay have given me £15 vouchers which i am happy with as its more then i was expecting plus i have still been using there products so it will go toward willows jars and other bits and peices.

oh no!!!! I once found a piece of blue pallett wood in a sandwich from tesco's. I rang enviromental health and took the wood and sandwich to them. They contacted tesco and traced the wood to a depot but nothing more came of it. Tesco's just sent me some vouchers and an apology  I rang The Sun newspaper and they weren't interested.

Good luck and I'm glad your LO is ok.

Are you kidding me? That's SHOCKING!!!
Poor Willow. Must've given you such a fright.

OMG that is terrible, glad willow is ok after the scare she must have had.

Now i would take it all the way and don't stop till you get the apologie that is deserved here.

Poor Willow, thats terrible! Glad she is ok though

Was it blue wood? or could it have been a hard bit of stalk from a vegetable?

Also call enviromental health before you send it off so cow and gate can't fob you off.

  That's terrible! Poor Willow and poor you, that must have been really scary

god thats frightening! glad its all alright, make sure you get a full apology...

my gosh that is so scary. luke has definitely had that one before.

hope willow is ok, well done you becky for quick thinking

jesus, that is bad! its enough to put you off using them altogether.

o god!! :( its so scarey..

it happened to my mum and dad when i was little, a bit of the metal foil from the milk was in the powder

I think they got off light there

Yeah your probably right but at the end of the day and once my anger had subsided all i was concerened about was willow being ok and she is fine.
