Well ladies I have found myself a sperm donor So I'm very pleased!!!! We wont be TTC till August as he is working offshore. He's aleady been a successful donor to one other woman. I already chart my cycle but have never used opk before. Which ones would you ladies recommend?

Oooh how exciting! I just use ebay cheapie ones to be honest hun. I used opk for a few months before we started to try this month, just to get an idea of my cycle. So being all "gung ho" about our first month ttc, i went off and bought myself clearblue digital. It only worked on two of the strips and then it wouldnt work so i had to go and get some ebay cheapies anyway, so i am sticking with the cheapies from now on! the digi ones have worked fine for others though, so maybe i just had a bad batch!!! Offshore? ...a military man? Or maybe i'm just being nosey

A lady that lived a couple of houses down from me used a donor - i don't think she is a lesbian but just couldn't be bothered with a relationship - and she used a friend of a trusted friend.

So are you going to be having IVF or having sex with him and just hope to get pregnant really quickly?

Sorry - i'm just curious/nosey Intrigued.

As it happens i can't actually help you with your question, i don't use them myself.

He works on a ship lol,

It'll be done through artificial insemination and he is happy to keep trying until I get pregnant.

I've bought opk from ebay just so I'm prepared for August lol.

Goodluck Hun! I used cheap eBay opk's and they worked brill! Found out I don't ovulate till late in my cycle so be patient if you don't get a positive around day 14 and I recomend to start using them the day after your period finishes as my friend ovulated on day 7!!!

Hi Pinkymum,
I've always used internet cheapies and get good lines on them.
As Lacey's Mummy says, start using them as soon as AF finishes in case you Ov early (I get my dark line anywhere between day 5 and day 13).
