My daughter is 7 weeks old, she is breast fed and usually poos 2-3 times a day. Last Friday she did 7 poos, 2 of which were green. She was having her 6 week check that day so I mentioned it to the Dr who said to keep and eye on it. Saturday she did 6 poos, 1 had tiny streaks of blood. Sunday, lots more poos but more normal looking and no blood. Monday morning we got an appointment at the walk in centre because she did another with red streaks. GP suspected gastro enteritis which irritated her bowel but she is otherwise very well so wasn't concerned. Since then she's still been pooing excessively, some look normal, some are greenish but the last one (an hour ago) was pure green slime. Like I say, she's very happy otherwise, no signs of being unwell.
I've been googling and have read a lot about her getting too much foremilk? I don't think this is the cause, she hasn't changed the way she's feeding, surely I would have noticed a change before now? If it was some kind of virus, shouldn't it have passed by now?
Any help or advice would be great! X
