TTC on Clomid Buddies

Hi there... i am ttc using Clomid... im on 50 mg... my first day on it was the 8th, and tomorrow is my last day... anyone else try Clomid?

 

I'm not on Chlomid but I just wanted to say good luck TTC.

I hope I'm not too nosy but I have a few questions about your situation.

I live in the USA too and I have been TTC for exactly 2 years (since June 2003). Believe me, I never thought it would take this long. My family doctor gave me the info for a fertility clinic but I didn't follow up because I was worried about the cost. I simply don't think I could afford it the way they charge for medical stuff here in the States.

Anyway, just wondering if your family doctor prescribed it or if you had gone to a fertility specialist or basically how you got the chlomid. What 'symptoms' did you have that they thought that you aren't ovulating and that this would stimulate it.

Hey I welcome the questions... I was making a family clinic change cause our family doctor is deathly ill... so we went to a clinic that is not only a family doctor, but works mostly as an ob-gyn and fertility, and she gave me a pap and pelvic exam and then told me i should go on clomid... you start on cycle day 4 and go to cycle day 8... usually sometimes from 5-9... depending on doctor... i have really irregular periods, thats why i thought i wasnt ovulating enough... if at all... and im on 50 mg, so we will see if it will make me ovulate... and they do ultrasounds everyweek to check on my progress it is so comforting to have them do that... i started clomid on june 8th and took my last pill on the 12th... and i only paid 19 dollars for the 5 pills...really inexpencive... they do have side effects though... bad headachs... tired... and very hormonal... keep this in mind... but for me it was all worth it... e mail me if you would like and we can chat more... my e mail is [email protected] talk to you soon
