TTC #2 with CLOMID

Hi

This is new for me so please bear with me! (oh and btw I'm loving the smilies!)

I've been ttc #2 for last four years and the reason has been irregular periods, which only recently my Dr has given me Clomid for as I don't ovulate. I've never used these before and I am a little apprehensive. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation as me? I've also been given Provera for 7 days to induce a period and then I start Clomid on D2. I've always been regular with my periods every 28-29 days up until 2 years after my daughter was born.

I'm worried that I wont ovulate and that if I do and somehow still not get a 'natural' period, Therefore having to take Provera again for next cycle. I've been taking Provera for the last 3 cycles and its a very weird experience!

Would love to hear from anyone having similar problems that could help!

Hey hun.
Id been trying for 3yrs. First 18mths i had multiple mcs. Then after that NADA!!!

Manyyyy tests n scans later thy figured i wasnt ov properly if at all some months.
My cycles were all over the place and i was rapidly losing the plot!!!!

Finally fertility put me on clomid. I didnt get my hopes up and was bit apprehensive tbh.
I did some reasearch on it and found that it can 'dry u up' so i hunted down and purchased some spetm friendly lube called preseed to help the lil taddies reach my egg!

I duno what worked as we didnt even BD on my ov day (due to mahoosive arguement about having TOO much sex - ud think OH wud be happy..... But no lol) ..... But i got my BFP first round.

I was so shockd n still am. I heard it happens but 'good luck' and 'easy' does not normally happen to us.

So there yer go.
Yes everyones different n i know i was super lucky to catch it the first month but try to go into it with a positive mind.
It does work.

Thank you so much for letting me know about the 'dryness' just in time too as hopefully be starting clomid tomorrow! Il have to find it somewhere soon.

just to wish you luck with the clomid this cycle... I'm trying soy isofalvones , the natural version to kickstart ov remind it what to do since my tube repair last month and to get a quality egg, so tried oil of evening primrose (just up to ov) to help with the dry up bit as I did find it had gone...

hope you get bfp first time round..
