Trying for a certain gender

I understand this will no doubt ruffle a few feathers but I just wanted to see if anyone is actually trying different methods to try to conceive a certain gender? Or if any one has done this before and wasnit successful

I personally haven't done that because it's not something I care about, but I remember one lady had 5 boys and tried every trick in the book for a girl for a few pregnancies and she ended up pregnant with her 6th boy. I don't like talking about someone else I'll just add she loved her boys and seemed a fab mum.
I think of it this way, if it was easy to try for a sex some countries would be 90% male by now Xx

I personally don't believe there are any methods to help conceive a certain gender this is purely decided by the men's speem and which one reaches the egg quicker I would think it's probably old wives tales other wise a lot of ppl would get the sex they are hoping for first time round

I think the most accurate study is that the female sperm live longer so sometimes having sex either a few days before or right before can have an affect but I dunno how accurate that is given that the man releases both sex of sperm at a time.

Both times we did SMEP and so were having sex at ovulation and had two boys. Could be something could be nothing.

I wouldn't go out my way because I just believe you get what you get and if it wasn't the gender you are hoping I wouldn't haven't liked to do all extra effort and not get the 'desired' choice.

I was happy to be pregnant never mind what I was getting. Did favour boy first time and second I was pretty open then relieved as it was another boy.

There was a lady on here with a similar story. Think after she left PF she had another boy last I had heard unless I'm wrong on numbers.

Yes I believe it was, I don't think she would mind me telling she was very open about trying for a girl and did everything to try for one. But I don't think it worked she had all boys.

I had sex at ovulation and had two girls I really think it wouldn't hurt to try for a sex but I wouldn't want to get your hopes on it.
