Is it too early to be thinking of baby names yet?

when did you all start?

First time round we started thinking of names as soon as we got the BFP and had pretty definite choices (2 for each sex) decided by 20 weeks.

This time we started thinking when we started TTC but have only just got 1 potential boy's name and no ideas whatsoever for a girl!

I don't think there's a 'too early' to start thinking but be prepared to change your mind!

Are you planning to find out the sex?

It's NEVER to early to start thinking about baby names! I was thinking about mine before we even concieved. We already have a name for a little girl. Now we just gotta work on the boys name! lol

Alice was alice from day one.

NO idea about names for this time around!!

i've been thinking about names from pretty much the day i found out, but my favourites keep changing

Its never too early to think about names.
We had ours picked years before i got pregnant. Only a girls name though. Thankfully i had a girl, we had no idea what to call it if it turned out to be a boy. Me and OH couldnt decide on a name we both liked

thanks for all your advice. I found out yesterday lol, was confrimed this morning, and they think i'm about 14/15 weeks.

I found myself not even thinking about babies before yesterday until i found out, now it;s all i thought about today.

Found myself staring at names on this forum, just to see which I like and which I dont. Strangely enough i think i know what I would like, for a boy anyways. not sure though.

will deffo find out whether it is a boy or a girl. when can i find out?
Scarlett

think *dont quote me* your second scan at about 20 weeks is when you can find out, maybe before if you go privately

stuff like that. i absolutely adore the idea of calling my little girl Roxie or Roxy, i actually LOVE the name, but as my surname is Hartley, im not sure it would go, isnt Roxy Hart the name of that person in Chicago, i dont want Roxy Hartley to be too similar. I know it could be Roxanna or Ruxanna or something, but i like just Roxie

I either want a name that seriously girlie and cutesy, or one that means she'll be able to put up with no nonsense. Im not a fighter, and my baby wont be either lol, but i think names like mine, Scarlett are sort of stonger than others. Im probably taking complete and uttur bollocks right now to some of you but i know what i mean. i also want a little boys name, which is different, doesnt fall into the same category as every other child at school. but in the same way, i dont want to ostracise the child by giving them a name every other kid laughs at. some celebs for example give them names that i persnally find a bit daft. but its up to them.

i have no idea :| i was all made up, then i looked at a site to see if there were any i hadnt thought of, and now i have too many :(

I think I like Roxie or Tia and Judd or Logan best though

we had our names before I was even pregnant!!! Still have our boys name, so nobody pinch it!!!

Anyone got any HATES or ones that arent on there you think i may like?

I like the look of Nyx, not sure why, do you think i could get away with Phoenix and name him Nyx? I know it's totally weird, but it stands out... reminds me of my spice girl loving days though with Mel naming her son Phoenix Chi or something

Roxy/Roxie, I agree with your surname quite it sounds like the chicago character, but if you like the musical
Destinee, Dont like
Rylee / Ryleigh, better for a boy but could work with a girl.

Boys

Not keen on Levi, Harrison, Jayden, Corbyn
lots of Jakes & Alfie's about
Lex, really like this and Judd...what about Jude too?
Harley (would need some work on the spelling though, Harley Hartley :( ) I agree
Riley, Rudy Both cool
Ruben: MY fave was my boy choice this time and seeing as we thought it was bound to be a boy thought LO would end up with this name
Nyx, Like that better than your pheonix idea, just cant see a 40 year old bald man with the name pheonix (not dooming you future sons to be bald of course  )
Caleb, was what I wanted to call my DS but got put off by its meaning
Morgan, like this better for a boy than girl

Looked through the list of the names people wouldnt dare name kids though, and found a lot more i liked :( maybe that was a bad idea lol... most of us are just cowards and would have loved to have called our kids what we had mentioned so dont exclude them!!
