Todays appointment

Hi again
So had growth scan today! at 37 + 3 they estimate 7lbs 3oz. Yay! Bit on the big side, but not particularly!
Had to go for my BP checks at the day unit, so went up there. Damit, blood pressure up to 155/105, pretty much highest ever. So they call the Doctor, who, thankgod, agreed to let me go, except I have to be on a fairly high dose of BP meds... funnnn and still have to go in every 2 days.
Also, the big news is, they are inducing me on Wednesday at 38 weeks + 2 because of the BP going up daily basically. So now I'm just praying BP is manageable on meds so they dont admit me before Wed, and that though I'm high risk, without the BP issues, things go okay! Also that I don't haemorrhage again.
I really wanted everything to be natural this time (my daughter was induced) so that I could try with epidural, but last time, it took 3 pessarys, them breaking my waters and being put on oxytocin before labour started, and it was AGONY! I wanted to know how it felt to build up, not hardcore contractions from the beginning. Disappointed I guess... but at least I know the end is near!

Jealous that you get to meet your LO next week! Next Wed you say? That's my due date! lol! I'll still be here in 3 weeks! Haha!

Hope your BP stays down between now and then - my Mum was induced early because she had high BP with me. I've been lucky so far like... x

Yup yup induce on wednesday... but don't think will actually arrive til thursday or friday... hoping thursday! My daughter took 56 hrs from start to finish! Anything but that!

Good luck Leanne, you never know it may be the birth you wanted, keep an open mind on it.

Lots of calm resting to get your BP down and maybee they will let you go longer X

56 hours though... ouch but then again what is that on the 57th hour holdin your baba!

Yeah, just can't wait to be on the other side of the whole labour bit now! Not a fan of the BP meds, makes me feel so jittery and heart goes racing! In for the checks tomorrow so will see if the meds actally do anything. Feel bit funny on them, not sure if its my blood pressure going up (as this how feel when its high) or if its the meds being funny.
Isn't it strange all the things your body does because you're pregnant!
