TMI - AF question

hiya so I had one spot of red blood this morning, but than it stopped for like 2 hours now, I am cramping badly so I know af is round the corner. Do you count CD1 when you see any blood even if it stops for a day or when you have proper flow?
I never had this before, no spotting before , it must be a side effect of my miscarriage, I always get a proper flow quite quickly even if I see some blood but it never stops for like 2 hours. I hope this makes sense.

Hi Maximus, only ever count day one as full flow bleed. I have had quite a lot of confirmations on this as someone who regularly gets pre-af spotting. So def only full flow as day 1! xx

thank you, as my spotting stopped completely now , its very annoying actually and something I have never experienced before. I really hope it starts soon as I can't stand the cramps anymore.

yes I did - BFN of course
I actually thought I might be pregnant but than it took us a year so of course it would be negative I am still getting af pains like it's starting anytime, hopefully tomorrow arghhhhh

Sorry hon. Hormones seem to go all over the place after a mc. I'm not even sure I'm ovulating at all at the moment. You'll feel better once AF comes. x

I read somewhere that full flow by 5pm should be counted as your first day so that's what I go with as sometimes get a bit of brown the day or night before x

Hi all so yes by 6pm af started!!! I have never been so happy to get my period. But I don’t think I even ovulated since my miscarriage as none of the usual post ovulation symptoms were there. I can’t wait to try again ASAP. I feel so impatient about this. I waited a whole year to get bfp so I am praying it doesn’t take that long again. I just can’t wait anymore , just can’t wait to see a positive test and stay pregnant

Aah made up for you that AF has arrived, lol, I was soooo happy when mine come, it took 6 long weeks, and looks like I might have an early ovulation this month as only on CD10 and got a strong second line on my ovulation test today! Good luck for this cycle x

My first AF was odd after my miscarriage too, I spotted for 2 days before and I never spot before, my second one has been slightly heavier than a usual one but is pretty much back to normal. And I’m finally feeling more like myself 9 weeks later, I’m glad you’ve finally got your AF I hope it’s a nice easy one for you lol x

That's a good sign. If it started in the evening then the next day counts as day 1.
