Hello everyone! I'm currently in the 2ww but whilst I'm waiting I thought I'd ask if anyone has conceived with a tilted womb. The last smear test I had was v painful, the doctor said it was because my womb is tilted. I personally just think she was rubbish at it, because they've never hurt before!!

Does anyone know if it makes a difference to fertility if I do have one?

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine finally!!!

me ! ive a tilted womb and tilted pelvis, just made me very had to scan !

when i had mine done they had a bit of trouble, they sed my cervix was far set back. they havnt sed anything about havin trouble with pregnancies. i already have a lil girl. So i doubt there's much to worry about.

I have one, always have trouble at smear tests. Never had a problem getting PG though!

my sister has a tilted womb - they advised her she may have problems conceiving..12 months for the first baby (much as we all hate it in here..it really was when she relaxed and forgot about it as she was waiting to start treatment  ) - 1 month to conceive second child :D

My mum has a tilted womb too - 8 pregnancies and got pregnant first time she tried every time (and even when she wasn't  )

edited -as my sister has a tilted womb not a tilted room  :rotfl:

wow very impressive. i thought my nan havin 6 was mad, but 8. they not wuzzies lol

lol - 8 pregnancies, but lost 3 at beginning of 2nd tri due to a rare blood thing that meant she couldn't carry boys as for some reason she rejected them due to chromosomal stuff...we don't really understand (neither does Mum  ) and one set of twins in the 5 that she carried, but sadly lost one at a few weeks old.

I'm trying to convince her to train as a doula - she is the best birthing partner ever..or maybe I could just hire her out to you lot :D

lol. some ppl cant carry a certain sex, it more common than u think. my uncle has all girls cause his wife cant carry boys. its an awful thing really, but better than not havin no children at all.

oh i tottaly believe in havin another you somewhere in the world.
My twin brother was in the film independece day *(jokin) but it looked excatly like him spooky.

Thanks guys.

It's the TTC that's sending me slightly crazy. I'm blaming everything from the months of rain to my husbands gum abcess!:x It has only been 7 months (4 if I admit to getting dates wrong for 3 of them! ) I'm just not the type of gal who understands chance. I like things to be logical. I suppose this is good practice for motherhood as kids are anything but logical!:D

I shall remain calm and wait. Just hope I don't end up with 6 kids, I'd have no where to put them all!!!! :rotfl:

Did you think I said double? train as a double? :?

I meant doula - professional birthing partner thanks to all the births she went through :rotfl:

Don't be confusing me - I've just got back from work after 6 hrs sleep since I last worked and my head isn't awake yet :D

Noooooooo

not wasting this beautiful day asleep...but don't hold me to that :D

Not in work rest of today, thank god so just going to potter around and lie down and think of symptoms

you got the whole of august to enjoy the weather, we got a lovly heatwave commin over :)

I have a tilted pelvis too. It can make any examinations/tinkering from nurses very irritating as they tend to grab for my, erm, sensitive button instead, which is no fun if you're not expecting it

Stick your legs up/keep lying down after sex so the sperm pools by your cervix.

You may even do better with rear entry as it is easier/reaches nearer the cervix if you have a tilted pelvis. Then stay on your front, getting your partner to put a couple of pillows under your hips.

But I've twice got pregnant from the missionary position I think.

Hi. I have a slight tilt, which the doctor said very casually at my first smear. I had a hard time with all three internal exams during my first tri and also with the internal scan at 9 weeks.

Other than that, I think sometimes that OH has problems "aiming" in the right direction because if we don't get it exactly right then BDing is uncomfy.

BUT we got PG second month of trying last time. And I read somewhere that 10% of women have a tilt. Nobody has ever referred to mine except in passing.

Good luck TTC! :D

I have a tilted womb which I only found out about when I was pg with my 1st. never had any problems concieving with it though.

I've got one too - only problem I had was at the beginning of my pregnancy with my first - they said I wasnt pregnant as I wasnt as big as I should be! Ended up having an early scan and there she was - she's 20 now and I remember that hour wait to see if I really was pregnant as if it was yesterday!!!
