I understand completely. I don't think anything other than a repeat scan will help you at the moment though which is why I think phoning her will be a good idea.

Are you in a position to have another private scan if the NHS don't offer one?

Yes I’ll be getting one regardless. Just don’t know if I’ll go through midwife x

Just to add a different opinion into the mix (I hope you don’t mind)

Last time my mc was confirmed by a private scan. However the private scan won’t contact the nhs for you to arrange follow up - that’s up to you. So you have to see your gp to get a referral and then get seen in the hospital - it’s a lot of faff.

Plus the hospital wouldn’t believe the private scan even though I had a very clear scan report so I had to have a repeat nhs scan there even though I already knew the dream was over, which I found quite distressing.

I know that dealing with the nhs can seem a pain, but sometimes it’s the lesser of two evils

I actually had a moment of feeling ok just there and decided to just phone the mw. She referred me to EPAS and I’ve got another scan next Tuesday
