I was 'high and hard' so despite having a good old rummage (the doctore had HUGE hands too  )nothing could be done. It's left me a bit sore though.

I've got to go and pee in another bottle to take to the docs tomorrow as I apparantly have a high level of white blood cells in my urine, though I don't feel as though I have a water infection :? They seemed quite suprised I don't have any symptoms for the height of the levels, I'm wonering if I have a higher urinary tract infection and it's the cause of my backache

I am booked in at 8pm on wednesday evening for induction too.

thats upsetting that the coudlnt do the sweep, fingers crossed baby will decide to come before your induction

sorry they couldnt do your sweep hun
i had very high levels of white cells on my last pregnancy from about 30 weeks they sent a sample off every week and every one came back as ok and no infection apparently it can be caused if you have a lot of discharge :puke: and some gets into the sample but they still have to send it off to check hope it all comes back ok for you xxxxxx

  sory they couldnt do the sweep hun at least you have a date now to meet Sydnee if she continues to hang on in there ninja style!!

Thanks everyone. I feel a bit better knowing by thursday night at the latest she'll be here

Her head can't go down anymore, she's well and truly engaged, he wrote in my notes 'head not felt' so fingers crossed she'll do it by herself over the weekend  I don't know how long it takes your cervix to do its magic acts? Is it a gradual thing or can it just happen?

As for the urine sample, I don't have pain when passing urine, I haven't noticed I've been weeing more than usual, well no more usual considering it's babys favourite toy lol

What's annoyed me is that three weeks ago at the hospital at my 37 week growth scan they said they detected leucalytes (sp?) which indicated an infection, and I had to do a sample to send off. When my midwife phoned through for the results she was told they didn't send it off in the end as it 'looked' ok appearance wise.

I shall be so miffed if my back pain I've had for over a week now is caused by a water infection  when they could have picked up on it

All I know is that in labour, they tell you it takes about an hour to dilate 1cm!! :cheer:

Oh I really hope Sydnee arrives on her own for you  Although being induced isn't that bad, I'd love for you to experience natural labour from home to start with

Good luck sweetie! I'll be checking up on you! :D :cheer: xxx
