Knopk Mark is beautiful, congratulations! xx

Karen - The smeared bubble and squeak made me laugh a lot, she's just brilliant!!

Thanks Karen - yes, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - although I'm still hoping for a lottery win!!!

Thanks Karen, he's been on his feet for over a month, as the last couple of days he's started moving (or trying to move) his feet.

So annoyed that I was told that he "will not walk" until much later, so I haven't bothered letting him try.

He won't sit now though as he wants to stand all the time :wall2:

That's when the fun begins with changing etc, no matter what you tried to do to my nephew his legs would spring down and trying to stand.

Well done arron! I wouldnt listen to the docs when they say he can't or won't be able to, with your encouragement he will get there.

Have you considered a walker or little bouncey frog things ?

xxxxx

Physio has told me not to put him in a walker - the reason, I think is that kids with DS have overly flexible joints, and their hips are in the "frog" position. Aaron's hips aren't actually that bad - and he does have a jumperoo that I let him sit in for 10 mins on occassion.

I was thinking of getting him a walker because he just wants to be upright and is going bonkers when he's not

Really need to teach him to sit though :wall2:

Walkers aren't good in general anyways but id defo follow their advice. X

Tapatalking :-D Can't see tickers...

But tbh no bouncey things are advised by health advisers because legs are still a bit flexible and head support etc. But everyone has and still uses them.

Tweets I'd go with what you think and limit him in it. If Arron is showing signs he is capable then I'd encourage it to a certain extent.

I was horrified yesterday, I have been uploading pics of J on fb firsts for this and that like using his buggy and yest I go on to find a baby a couple weeks younger than J in a walker with pillows stuffed down the back. Wtf ? LOL. I felt she was just doing it to compete but its too far!

I used a walker and walked early. I know I don't have DS, but loads of babies use them. Are you part of any DS groups or anything tweets ? Did any other parents use them on their children. Have u tried a bumbo for sitting maybe ?

LOL I feel your pain with this! Greyson will be 9 months on the 11th and he's still not sitting unaided!!! He's getting there now, and will probably be doing it in the next week or so - but he just always wants to be on his feet!!! And at over 21lb - he's bloody heavy lol.
