I'm only about 9 weeks but I find it hard to walk pass Mothercare without entering. I never buy anything, but I just can't help going in! The only things I've taken so far is the catalogue and a few leaflets on breastfeeding etc. I would love to start buying things for the baby but times are hard in terms of money at the moment and it would be unreasonable to splash out on baby stuff now!

I have an obssession for other pregnant women and babies in general and Mothercare is always the best place to feed my addiction! :D

Have any of you actually started buuying things for your baby?

I haven't bought anything for baby just yet as I have had a few worrying weeks. I have had a look in mothercare and babies r us out of excitement but I am a wee bit too scared to buy anything for baby just now.

I have just ordered an angel sounds doppler for my own piece of mind and I think I am going to have to go clothes shopping for myself.... so it's all for me at the moment.

Take Care x

I have the angel sound doppler, it's too early for me to use it but it works perfectly - I can hear my own heartbeat very clearly, the sound is excellent. you won't be disappointed

I don't think it's ever too early to start buying baby stuff, especially if you are strapped for cash.

When I was pregnant I made a list of everything we would need, and every week I would go out and buy 1 thing (2 or 3 if they were small) that way when it came to the end of my pregnancy I had everything I needed and didn't have to fork out loads of money in one go. Also I didn't have to go out looking for loads of stuff heavily pregnant, and all I had to do was sit back and wait for baby :D

SarahB you're giving me ideas. but there are so many things coming up, so many things we have to pay for (including our wedding at the registry for June 30th)!!! but i's true that buying a few things each week won't kill us. it'll just prepare us better. great idea thanks

I've been buying loads, mostly uni sex clothing- I'm terrible but I'm so excited :cheer:

Ive brought loads of stuff and im only 5 and a bit weeks!

The way we looked at it was similar- buy a couple of things each week and it doesnt work out so expensive.

We've even sorted out the nursery pretty much! Why not get excited? Its the best feeling ever! :D

I pray everything will be ok tho on my first scan!

yup if u buy clothes go for unisex best way then u wont be like damn i got such and sich and bought wrong clothing else u hae to take it back :D
