sorry to hear about your MIL Valentine.. is she staying the weekend?

Nothing new on this front really. JT had his injections on Tuesday, was a little bit porly on the veening and following day but nothing too bad - bless him such a brave lil man.

I had an Ann Summers party on Thursday night.. orders cam to just over £400.. and £200 was just from my order

Hope your all having a lovely weekend.

ps Jaydesmummy - can't you take Jayde on your own? or are you like me and can't stand going swimming alone

sweetcheeks i think i might take her on my own but i dont like going on my own glad your well and baby is well where you from by the way

Hiya. Just a quicky as about to go & eat dinner.

My poor bubs isn't well, he's got a really horrible chesty cough & keeps choking on the flem he coughs up (nice). He's got a bit of a temperature & is streaming from eyes nose & mouth. He's still happy though (takes more than a cold to knock my boy's smile off his face!) and I'm hoping it'll go away soon. We've got him dosed up on Calpol, Tixylix & Snuffle Babe at the pharmacist's suggestion.

I went out for drinks with my sister last night, it's the first time I've really been out since I got pregnant so after 5 drinks I was feeling rather tipsy. I ended up bringing a cat home with me much to OH's horror, it was a skinny little thing that was trying to go into the petrol station, they'd already kicked it out twice & it was so thin & little (and I was feeling a little merry) so I decided to bring it home for a meal. OH made me leave it on the front step but let me feed it & it disappeared as soon as it finished eating so I hope it's ok.

I hope everyone's well and promise to come on for a little bit longer & read everyone else's posts tomorrow

Bye

Hey girls!

The MIL has departed you'll be pleased to hear! Things did get better and we came to a compromise about what to do yesterday - we went for lunch (with the dog in the car so we could see him from the window - we walked him first) and then left the dog at home and went charity shopping. I bought 2 lovely ceramic jars to store flour in - not a necessity when I'm skint - but very lovely - I fell in love with them! I love love love buying housey things! Anyway it was exhausting having them here, so we're now having a chilled out weekend. Emmy - hope its going okay with your MIL? Thinking of you.

At the moment, we're just watching the football - Scotland have just scored to bring the match to a draw so its jubliant here! I think we have to win to go through though - it'll be a shame if we don't as there has been so much build up and excitement to this match.

Ella is fine and dandy - she learnt to blow raspberries last Sunday (can't remember if I already told you this?) so we keep getting lots of rasps and smiles and happy grins. Today she was doing the biggest laughs when we were singing the national anthem to her before the football, she seems to find it hilarious when Mummy sings to her.

I had some 'me time' this afternoon and had 3 hours off and went to the shops. Due to roadworks though, it took 1 hour to get there and another 45 mins to get home (usually 30 mins travel to out of town shops on a good day), so I only managed a quick hour round the shops and I HATE shopping in a hurry (get all stressed). Anyway I bought this for Ella to wear on Christmas morning using vouchers we were given when she was born and this to add to her growing Christmas pile of presents (its actually from 6 months on the box, don't know why it says 1 year on the website)! I have bought lots of wee things for her Christmas when I've seen them - some from charity shops and some cheap wooden toys and some things from the local NCT sale - think I've got pretty much everything I wanted now - some lovely books, some toys, the post box, a V-tech walker (second hand) and the M&P ladybird rocker. I think she will be a spoilt girl!

jm - agree you should go swimming alone - unless you need OH to drive you? Its always more fun when you both do things though, isn't it, especially when you are on your own all week.

SC - I can't believe you bought £200 of Ann Summers stuff - tell us what you bought! I am still feeling so unsexy from having a baby and b/feeding - I'm very jealous!

What is everyone else up to this weekend? Leckershell, missac, cloud - where you at? It's very quiet on here!

 to all

Valentine Xxx

Edit - Just seen your post maybebaby - to Austin and Mummy - poor thing. Lots of cuddles are prescribed. Glad you had a lovely time our on the razz last night! Did you pump and dump?

I'm here V!!!! I love buying housey stuff too, we went shopping for a carpet today for out living room, we have laminate flooring which I hate and want it for Thomas so he can roll about to his hearts content!!

MB and Cloud sorry to hear about the unwell boys, it is so so horrible when they are unwell, there really isn't a lot you can do for them other than love them - which isn't hard!!

Going to a christening tomorrow which we are looking forward to, should be a good day.

Today we had what I class as a perfect saturday, P was off which was nice as he works quite a lot of weekends, so we went to town this morning and P bought me the friends scene it game, and then we went to the bakery and bought lunch to eat at home - you need to go to greggs and get a festive roll - turkey bacon stuffing and cranberry sauce - beautiful!!

We then came home had lunch then thomas and I napped and then we went to my mums to watch the scotland italy game, mums boyf is italian and P is scottish so thomas was wearing his best baby in scotland bib and carrying his i love scotland bear! I thought it was a good game and pretty gutted scotland lost, they played well and it was quite an even game in my opinion, now I am praying that israel can draw or beat russia so that England have a chance at qualifying! Gosh, I am in the wrong forum here!!

Sweetcheeks, you go girl!!!

er I hope you manage to get to swimming!

Hi All,
Had an ok weekend, MIL on best behaviour so not as traumatic as it usually is. Just had a friend round for a bit as he's just back from working in Japan for 14 months, so been a busy few days....and I'm soooo looking forward to working tomorrow :fib:
JM - Get yourself to Sainsburys, they have packs x 4 of Johnson's wipes for £2.50!! I bought 7 x 4 so I have 28 more packets of wipes now, had 5 already......I think I'l be set for wipes until Libby turns 1 :rotfl: I also bought 10 packets of (x100) nappy bags for 14p each, and loads of toiletries.....all on 1/2 price!! Spent £35, which is a saving of £35 as should have £70, I'm well stocked, my cupboard in the utility room loks like a Boots store room :rotfl:
Anyway, just wanting to say hi to everyone, MB, Libby has a rotten cold, so I send get well hugs to A   its rubbish when they are bunged up isn't it :(
Love to all, gonna go see what I've missed :D
(Oh and V.....I love shopping for the house too!! So addicitive though!!)

hi all  hope were all okay  for all the babies with colds, im off to get jayde weighed later she was 15 7 3 weeks ago what do people think she is now, tomorrow im off to the dentist not been in about 3 years as only just managed to find myself a nhs one so wish me luck as i hate dentists do i still get it for free but one problem i have lost that thing that yo need do i need it or will i have to pay????? hope everyone is having a good day :D

em forgot to ask how did libbys assement go as jayde has hers the end of the month, what do they actually do ??

I think Jayde will be 16lb 5oz JM....think its only you & me in here now :?

Libbys check went really well, they just asked a few questions about her development (are we concerned about sight?/ hearing? etc), then wanted to see her sitting up unaided, could she pull herself to standing if helped, she then had to hold a little wooden block to see if she passed it from hand to hand (she did, then grabbed the other block and wouldn't give them back :rotfl: ), then she was weighed, height measured & head circumference measured.

There's no right or wrong, and it doesn't matter if she can/ can't do these things, its just a assessment to see how she's getting on.

Not done much really, been chilling & working, sorting out house & doing washing etc. Think I'm gonna walk to the shops a bit later and get something nice in for tea (I've lost 2.5lbs so far so gonna get a nice - but still healthy - meal for tonight)...any ideas anyone? Want to do something with no bread/ potatoes/ pasta/ rice 8)
