Hey girls,

I've been trying to write this post for days, but I keep getting thrown off the forum as it crashes or the Sky man needed me to come offline or E crys and needs fed and I shut down the screen - gggggrrrrrr - here's hoping this one works! I;m contributing to the quiet thread, I know!

I've been having a bit of a low week, but feel so much better now after speaking to the HV and to my OH - I just needed to tell them how I was feeling, ask for help and not try to cope alone. OH is on paternity leave next week (he's a teacher so went back to work 2 weeks ago and couldn't take leave during the holidays or at the beginning of the term as he's got the littlies) and it's come exactly at the right time. We've got lots of family visiting this weekend ( not what I need, but will have to grin and bear it) then next week it's just the 3 of us for 5 whole days. We're going to take E swimming, open her a bank account, go shopping and go for some nice country walks. Just a bad case of the baby blues, me thinks.

OH has been bringing some interesting snotty children germs home and E now has her first mucusy cold - poor thing. We tried to use the nasal clearer thing that you suck through (disgusting idea) but couldn't shift anything for her and she can still breathe while feeding so we think it's in her chest.

E has started properly smiling at us in the past few days - it's so lovely and just melts my heart. She's a real projectile vomiter so this more than makes up for the washing mountain and going around with baby sick all over me all the time! She's now in reusable nappies (I have some questions though, if anyone can help?).

E and KK - have a wonderful time, both of you! We'll all be thinking of you. We can't wait to hear all about it and see your pics.

Emmy - thanks so much for the vid of Libby bouncing - she made me giggle so much. Well done on the cracking the weaning! I'm dreading it too!

Poor D - does he tend to poo when he feeds Cloud? This sometimes helps E to go, if I stick her on the breast? Sorry if that's no help.

jm - did you get the car taxed okay? They eat money cars, don't they!?

Hi V, missed your post for some reason! I am glad you feel better having spoken about how you feel, sometimes it helps just to let it all out, and those baby blues can be viscious! It all gets easier as the time goes on though.

As for nappies - I will tell you here so I don't get shot down - I hated reusables!!! I thought they were far too hot for him and the fact that they were sodden was awful, they just got sooo wet! I also hated the fact that his arse looked humongous in them so we went to huggies and I haven't looked back!!!

A is not now starting work for 3 weeks but at least he is going to so i have spent the week rushing round trying to get on top of everything for no reason

V baby blues are awful i only really struggled for one day but it was an awful day..glad you feel a little better

Can't answer your question as we chose disposables

poor D is still contipated...he is doing little bits but it is really hard so I just gave him very watery apple and pear for lunch and he has been feedin/sleepin/ feedin/sleepin all pm so hopefully the extra fluid will help.

somehow we always end up back talking about poo....what Did we talk about before pg LOL

hello all....far to much for me to remember to comment on! So ill try and round up.

V - glad your feeling better and hope you feel 100% soon. Its all the baby blues, we cant expect much else really after all the mental and physical traumer we have been though over the past year!! I still get emotional now, but less than I used to at the beginning but talking deffo helps and remember were all here if you need to chat.

JM - good luck with TTC hun and hope jayde is feeling better

KK - wow good luck for tomorrow, can not believe its here already, can you please get me a pic of you and A completley shit faced ha ha. Seriously have a wicked time and enjoy hunni,

M - love to you and the T-meister, at the disposable nappies - hence why I never even bothered trying them!

Right well sunday AM about 2am O started grunting in his cot so I got him out and he was clearly having a poo - he hadnt been for 2 days so I was happy - I got his nappy off and it was a perfectly round poo, no poo on the nappy either and it just rolloed out on to the floor picked it back up in the nappy before B woke up and saw then I was about to put a new nappy on (good job I had towel down) cause he squirted out of his ass about a foot so I thought right he must have emptied his bowls now, then till yest all he has done is poo, runny poo, every couple of hours my poor man. He was a little more windgey then usual but not lots. Went to baby clinic yest and they took a sample to check just incase but they think he is teething as said can get the runs. he has also been really hard to settle on a night and night before last we ended up giving him calpol cause he wouldnt stop screameing, poor B was looking after him while I went to aquasize and he walked up to the baths to meet me when I came out cause he was so worried and he had cried the whole time bless him. Anyway he has only had 3 poohs today and is lots happier so think he is getting better.

he is starting to roll on to his front in his cot and cant get back over so he stress out the silly billy.

The names I call O are : Monkey, cheeky / cheeky boy, oran oran oran oi oi oi, Lucas Pukas, zombie (when he tries to eat us, however he only does it to me, B and grandma so he must be trying to give us kisses) billy or billy beefer urm, sexy boy, little man, my man, superdude, lucas, sweetie pie, sweet cheeks, dimpy dobs and loads more but there themain ones.

Well its cost £120 for my car to be sorted, £30 for the tow to the garage, £30 for them to get the locking bolt off and so they put the spare on, and then I took it to tyre shop and £60 for that incl fitting which isnt so bad to say its a 17inch low profile good quality make as shit fit (I mean quick fit) wanted over £100 for a crap make!! B's car.........well they said 2 sensors gone and would change one first as onl;y £25 but if didnt work will need to do the other but that would be £180 so they did the first one (after the wrong part came) and it didnt work, but they had taken a week by this time and were fucking about and being dodgy and giving different explanations each time. When it went in, it started but just cut out, whatever they have done it wont even start now so they said ''we can fit the other sensorbut it might not work and you will still have to pay but then we dont know what else it could br ( dodgy mechanics or what) so went up with day paid them £65 to cover the one sensor they changed and the diognostics test and towed the car to my folks where it is currently locked in their garage waiting for my dad to get a haynes manual and work on it for him.............

Car ordeal sounds like a nightmare, I hope it gets fixed soon!

Hey everyone,

We've had a busy day today cleaning then the in-laws visited for a few hours - it was much less stressful than the past few times and I'm learning to ignore the comments that suggest I or OH don't know what we're doing and why Granny always knows best. How bored am I with the phrase - "in our day..."?!?. Tomorrow we have my mum and brother visiting - deep breath... However, tonight we are relaxing on the sofa with pizza and chocolate - a perfect Saturday night!

E is getting over her cold now but has been adorable for the past few days - she's such a good, happy, contented baby - so peaceful and hardly ever cries - I love her to bits.

Thanks so much to everyone for all your kind words re. my sad feelings - I feel so much better now that I've spoken to a few people and have my week with OH to look forward to.

JM - have a lovely time on your hols - where are you off to again?

KK and Emmy - I hope you are both having a fantastic time! I've been thinking of you both!
