well done all u on diets keep it up!

Hello!

M, so sorry to hear about your nanna   I also think you should be eating a bit more of a balanced diet young lady...you may not be eating much but it won't help you lose &keep off :shakehead: Well done Teej! He is a clever boy! :cheer:

Em, hope you're having a great time with yuor dad :D Well done on the Tesco bargains! I'm with M & Cloud, nothing really sale wise for boys, pure sexist discrimination :wall: Loving the pics of Libby &Dylan at the meet

Cloud,You look like you had fun on Tue & Dylan looks like he got stuck in! As for weaning, my HV told me to get stuck in yesterday!

To all

So...last few days....

On Tue we all ended up going into London again.... 3rd time in 8 days! We just had a picnic out & about & walked from Notting hill all theough Kensington gardens, down through Hyde park, kids had a play in the Diana water fountain thing, all the way down to Green park, Buckingham pal,st James park, palace,Trafalger sq,up Bond st,Oxford st & back to MArble Arch!!

Obviously we did things on the way but kids waanted a proper sight seeing tour so instead of gettin g on the bus,we walked them round, tight parents :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

A & I miss London though,as A used to live in a really nice part in SW London & easily accessible to get central we used to hang around Notting Hill,Holland PArk etc at weekends when kids were with their dad...memories :D

erm....what else....

Sam had his forst carrot puree yesterday !!!

HV came & I mentioned that he was more restless at night ,that he was finishing full bottles of hungry baby milk so she said bring on the purees.

She said try one veg at a time though so if he doesn't like anything,it's easily eliminated! Good sound advise! Went to Boots & got some feeding equip! Came home & pureed some banana, apple, potato, carrot & parsnip & put them int ice cube trays in the freezer. One thing thiugh, not too sure if banana freezes?! Any ideas on that one?

Anyway tried the carrot & he hated it & was gagging! Gave him his milk & tried again & he ate it all!

Only one spoonful to start with but his top was orange, his face was orange, his hands.... :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh & weight, he is now 15lb exactly! :cheer:

Oh and Sam has the big injections today :(

morning all

:shhh: don't tell D that Sammy is been weaned now< poor little boy is starving ..I so need to see HV on Monday.ig she says no think i am gonna anyway its not like what they say is the law they are here to advise.

glad sammy enjoyed his carrot..Did you not start with baby rice kk if not why not just curious as I know very little about weaning but it is gonna be hard for me to make baby rice as it means expressing for his meal as he can't have formula?

Think i need to read up about weaning i am starting to get stressed out about it all

sounds like you've had a great time at LOndon

I am taking D swimmin at 12 ,

Where is eveyone buying there clothes from. D has had a lot of second hand stuff off ebay but for 6-9 months i think he needs new now as the clothes been sold the babies will have been crawling and started weaning in so won't be like new like the baby ones?

Nanna died this morning, I feel so sad

er - I add milk to thomas' baby rice, didn't know you could add water.

bought teej a tigger door bouncer this afternoon to cheer myself up, he is loving it!! He is in it as we speak just hanging around!

Hey Cloud, I started off with carrot. My HV said it's as good as anything & you know what your baby is having.

Never used rice or rusks with B & T either.

I just pureed down some food & off we went.He had potato today & loved it :D

I am starting off with 1 spoonful a day. First of all I give him his milk to make sure that he is filling on what he needs & then supplement it with food & then I will gradually start to increase the food :)

cloud i started jayde on babyrice got some from boots and you just add water to it hun

Hi All......Is Libby now the only one of the babies born in the same couple of weeks that isn't being/ about to be weaned? I am going to see if I can it leave her long enough to start weaning with Millie & Trix

Have had a wonderful time with my dad, shame he was only here for a short time but better than no visit at all. Libby lost one of her pink flower shoes y'day which I wouldn't mind but they were her first shoes and I was going to put them in the baby box, well now there will only be one in there with a story of why there isn't a pair  I walked back the way we'd walked and evrything, but no joy :shakehead:

M - I am so very sorry that you lost your Nanna this morning, I hope she rests peacefully. Please be kind to yourself during this tough time, also make sure you scrap the diet as fewer calories than you need, as well as grief is not a good combination

KK - Sounds like you have had a great few days, I wanna go to London and do touristy things :shakehead: One day maybe :D Maybe I could go to the London meet....hmmmm......will give that consideration.

Just been called to put Libby to bed as it would seem C is incapable!!! He is just washing her hair but she plays up for him and is usually good with me....convenient eh?

Can I just ask.....is everybody elses babies constantly sticking their tongue out? My hypochondriac husband thinks there is something wrong with her? What d'ya reckon? Normal or not?

Hugs for all

Hi all, food diary:

two slices of toast and marmite
one tuna crinch sandwich
one slice of tiffin cake
one chinese!! never mind just a small blip - I think you are right Em!

Although slightly pissed off this morning as I had only lost a bloody pound! (did I post that earler!)

Aw Em sorry about the shoe - some people pick them up and put them on railings and stuff did you check up high as well as low?!

I am quite lucky now cloud, teej has got himself into a marvellous feed routine - he has one 8oz at 6 8oz at 9:45 8oz and rice at half 12 8oz at 3:30 then 8oz at 6:30. I am really pleased with this as we all know where we are!!

I did, was with my dad and he said that is likely to be what happened, I even walked through again today.....and will retrace my steps again tomorrow.....think the shoe is long gone. Oh well.

Also, M I used to try to lose weight by cutting right down on food, and found that 2 things happened:
1. The weight came off very slowly as my body went into starvation mode, so would hoard the calories that came with the small amounts of food I was eating knowing it would be a long time until the next feed.
2. As soon as you start eating again it is a nightmare as the weight just gets thrown back on again......as your bosy is still hoarding the calories from starvation mode.

I have found the only way to lose weight is not to eat pasta, rice, potatoes or bread after 3pm (so only with brekkie & lunch) have an evening meal of salad or meat & veg etc. And gentle exercise.....also that way it becomes more of a way of life than a diet.

I am doing this at the moment, and although I have only lost 4 lb's it is 4lbs that is more likely (hopefully) to stay off.

Although Missy you are under strict orders from me not to do any kind of diet for AT LEAST a week! :shakehead:

'Trix - Hope Millie is ok after her injections (they're awful aren't they?!)

T2 - Good to see you, are you feeling any better now since Tuesday & your hospital visit on Wed?
