Trix
try a cup .I used to give Dylan a cup the size of a medicine hosp when he was in hospital first born and he drank from that.

Rant

think it is finally over my marriage. A came last night at 5.30 we had a curry all he was doing was falling asleep when i was exhausted i had been up with D 3 times in the night. Anyhow i get him to bath D but he can't hold and wash D..not that i have a choice to do that every other night.
I out D to bed it takes an hour and ten minutes to put him to bed with super do i get a cup of tes no, i come downstairs has he tided up no, i am furious he says he fell asleep, I tell him if he can't make an effort when he comes to visit then what would it be like if he came back..he tries telling me to go to bed and i told him he would like that coz when i get up with Dylan i would be more reserved.
Anyhow i went to bed in the end .I heard him leaving at 7.50 this morning and i was feeding D so couldn't do anything about it. i come downstairs and there is £10 on the sofa i am assuming thats payment for board but as it comes out the joint account then its just a statement.

How did i marry suck a wanker?????

Trix - I replied in other post, but the cup is a good idea....chat to your HV about it too

Cloud....BIG HUGS for you....can't believe that!!! Wht a prize plonker :shakehead: Maybe having a break with visits will help you & him, as it seems him coming over isn't helping things at the minute.......if it really is over then I am so sorry hun, but you are all D needs if A isn't helping. IF things can work in the future then maybe just a little time apart will help both you & A work out what is wanted or needed for the relationship and your son.
Can't belive the tenner thing

I'm off out in a bit ladies to my firends to cuddle that gorgeous son of hers, and have a nice cuppa.....I'm taking cake :shhh:

Hi all
D is asleep on my bed havent faced the transfer to cot yet..We have had a nice day together..i decied just coz i married a waste of space at least we produced a baeutiful boy together and i was going to spend the day making Dylan happy .We have been for a long walk which he found exhausting so had a nap...I went into wilko's to buy a new lighbulb for bathroom i didn't know spotlights came in different size so had to phone A up and ask him ( so much for been independant LOL)
Anyhow he has been sitting in his sofa feeling very proud of himself..He has a pooh toy which has been singin nursery rhymes to him, he has played with his bee, sang songs puked on me , i have put his washing away, cleaned his room while he watched his mobile and we ended the day going in the tub together.

I have spoke to A apparentley the £10 was just money he got out the cashpoint for me last night no other motive and he has appologised for the way he left. We have talked about the same thing about there needing to be something in it for me and Dylan his visits. Anyhow we are on speaking terms again , I am so tired though of thinking we are getting somewhere then not :wall:

anyhow

M loved the wedding pics

I have decided if D is milk intolerant then he will need all the calium he can get so i am been a great mommy eating choclate :rotfl:

Hey girls!

How are you all? I've missed you!

I've read up on all your exploits but promptly forgotten everything - so I hope that this will suffice - group  . Are you all going to the meet next week? If so, I want to hear all the REAL gossip in this thread! M - lovely wedding pics - you look stunning!

I think I'm up at this time as I just can't believe what was about to happen to me a week ago tonight - I went into labour and felt my first real contraction at 2.39am, exactly one week ago. It's just been such an amazing mind-blowing overwhelming week and I couldn't believe I could ever be so happy. My OH and I keep crying and hugging (saps) and can't believe how happy we are.

My beautiful baby girl is so good and content - we're not sure if she's lulling us into a false sense of security but she hardly ever cries (and if she does, she cries her name - EHHH-LA, EHHH-LA - so cute!) and is so chilled out and relaxed. We're all having so much fun learning together.

I have recovered really well from the birth - I'm still quite sore down below (2nd degree tear, no stitches and labia grazes and my piles are back with a vengence) but I feel on top of the world. I have had really teary moments, mostly when I think of how in love with my daughter I am or how much I just want her to stay a tiny precious newborn - but I really am so so happy.

Ella is feeding really well. We had a rocky couple of days but I got some great advice from my local midwives re. my attachment technique and since then, she's been great. She feeds every 3.5/4 hours and doesn't appear to be very sicky. Her poos have just changed to yellow mustard and very squitty, which has been interesting today! Her bellybutton thing still hasn't fallen off and it's really SMELLY - how many days old was your LO when it fell off as it's HONKING!?!

Our visitors have been great and so kind - we've been given some beautiful things for Ella. We've also had a couple of days to ourselves too which has been lovely. I am finding having visitors quite tough - even though I am loving showing off Ella, I miss my time with her (I know that's selfish) and just want to grab her back! My M-I-L was down today (M-I-L moaning is allowed in this thread, isn't it?!) and she made me really upset. OH can let her insensitive comments wash over him but I can't help taking them to heart - she really doesn't think before she speaks. Here are a few choice examples from today:-

(to OH): "Watch the baby's neck when you pick her up!" (Um, he knows how to pick up his own baby)
(to a room full of people without Ella in it): "Where's the baby gone?" (Um, I'd taken her next door to change her, not run away with her)
(to me) "I think she'll need fed earlier as she was a bit sick this morning" (Um, thanks for that advice, I'd never have come to that conclusion myself)
(to Ella) "Aren't your mummy and daddy naughty for not doing x/y/z" (this is a favourite)

...I know they don't sound too bad and I'm just touchy, but she comes over and b*tches furiously about everything my S-I-L and B-I-L are doing wrong with their new baby so I asked her today if she does exactly the opposite and tells them everything I'm doing wrong when she goes over there. That shut her up. I know I sound a bit irrational and she isn't as bad as some, but I wish she would just get out of my face and stop getting over-excited, I can't change Ella without her hovering behind me and making 'helpful' suggestions and comments - b*gger me if I'm ever feeding in front of her as undoubtedly I'll be getting that wrong too. She's just the kind of person who doesn't know when to bite her tongue and keep her opinions to herself and doesn't think that 6 days post birth, OH and I are still learning and making our own mistakes - which is fine.

Oooops - that turned into a bit of a rant! :rotfl: Oh well, I must have needed it!

Anyway, I'm sure I've bored you all to sleep :bored: . I'd better go and get some sleep before the next feed. I'll be back properly soon, but until then  .

Valentine xxx

hi all - jeez you girls cant half chatter,

no idea what you all said :rotfl:

M - im 5.10 and b is the same and oran is a little tally. he is taller than his cousin who is 7 months old and he has bigger feet than her lol.

im not going to the meet as its to far for me tbh, maybe if there is ever one a little closer! were us lot of this thread going to do one in derby or something, I could possibly get there BUT id need notice as would have to save up for petrol lol as were a bit skint at the moment coming up over 1k a month short!!!

well I went out on the lash on a girls night on friday and made it home at 4am :rotfl: :rotfl: needless to say B was NOT amused but I didnt care cause he was supposed to be looking after oran and I had to end up getting ma to do it cause he was giving all these orders and beefing about it even though I let him go out once a week! so it served him right!

viewing didnt go so well, he didnt like it, said it was to small. ive reduced it now thou (after the viewing) to 102950 so fingers crossed now.

oran loves his rice but cant have rusk, I tried him on it again the other day and he was really badly sick all day after it and screamed in tremense pain at bed time, I had to end up giving him calpol the poor man so no ruckies for him. Im going to start giving him flavoured baby cereals next week at 4 months cause I think he is bored of the plain rice, also going to start him on baby food, just 2 spoons a day at first. Im going to eventually make my own foods for him from the anabel karmel book but at first till he is on a full jar for example im going to just give him jars. he even opens his mouth now for the spoon when you bring it down like an airoplane it is so cute as he then laughes with it in his mouth.

em oran has always been a sicky baby so im not scared of sick lol but I can see why you would be if libster is never sick!

Also KK as far asI was always aware the only reason the say 6 months now is cause they recon its early weaning that causes allergies, but again I think thats rubbish as me, bro and all my cousins were all weaned from 6 months and not one of us have any allergies, ecxcema or any other problems, me and my bro were also given cooled boiled cows milk from 6 months and then at 1 used to drink it cold and neither of us have broke a single bone in our bodies!!

anyway gotta fly as time to take oran home ready for bed. he has been a little grumpy today but i think its possibly the heat as its ever so warm here.

Hi All,
V - Lovely to see you on hun, so glad all is going well with Ella, I love the crying thing, Libby's cries sounded like Emmm-a when she was newborn - lol. All the 'statements & questions' you have stated there were what wound me up about my MIL :x especially the "naughty mummy/ daddy" one :x
JW - Good to see you on  Glad all is well with you & O, can't believe B got a jip on for going out till 4am, if he is out once a week...men
Nice Pics Bex...meant to say y'day, we just put L to bed in a vest too....too darn hot for a slepsuit!
I finally have my sisters 10% superdrug card....the others 'went missing' from her managers office....manager claimed to know nothing about it :fib:

Also, sad news  my sister (aged 17) got mugged y'day  3 men held her down and stole her mobile, were punching her and everything.....she was understandably very distressed, and is now scared to go out on her own

Em.. sorry to hear your sister being mugged thats awful :x :x :x

I hope they catch them and bug hugs to your sis
