em im glad libby can go in her big girls carseat now hope she enjiys it

went to get jayde weighed today and she only put on 6oz in 4 weeks but she has been poorly shes now dropped below the ninth line but my hv isnt worried about it

Hi All,

Don't worry about the weight JM, look at what happened wth Lib...she lost when she'd been ill (she had started crawling too) so its good to hear that Jayde has still put on weight between weigh ins even if it has made a difference to the centiles. If HV isn't worried then you shouldn't be, she's probably saving herself, then wil have a big weight gain like we had.

Well, my gorgeous girl is 9 months old today (her little friend Olivia our friends daughter was 1 today.....Libby is 3 months younger almost to the minute!!).....so I have had her with me for about as long as I was pg, which is weird, cos I felt like I had been pg forever, and now I feel like Libby has been in my life forever, so next time I say forever I mean 9 months... don't tell C that, when I say I'll love him forever, I do mean eternity not just 3/4 of a year

I'm a pear lover like you Trix 2 y'day & 2 today.....have updated, had extra's y'day too!! We haven't been out in the car yet....C has been working late all week, so by the time I wanna go to ASDA or Babies'r'us its her bathtime, so we keep saying 2moro....then '2moro' he has a busy day and ends up working late too....we're going for a brief visit to the wirral for C's dads 60th this weekend so she'll get a good journey's worth out of it then!!

Hi all, not been on here since ages ago so I've lost touch with this thread a bit really.. I'll just start again lol

We're ok... Ryan is mega teething and I can see 2 teeth coming through - one on each side at the top so they'll probably look like fangs when they come through lol. He's all snuffly today too, caught the cough and the cold off us, and though he's come away mostly unscathed he's got a cough now. So we're juggling between calpol and teething gel!

He was weighed yesterday at 15lb 2oz at 19 weeks.. which they told me is a good size and I can start on purees anytime with him. I'm doing breastfeeding still (although it is getting more difficult now he has teeth coming on both sides as he doesn't want to eat much cos it probly hurts him). Still doing one bottle at night too, in addition to the 6pm/7pm breastfeed, and I give him baby rice round about lunchtime ish most days. He's just so hungry.

V tells me there is a mini meet on 27th Feb - feel free to count us in if it's definately going ahead - as before we'll catch the train up.

Erm, not sure what else to say to catch up really. Went to the first of my PND group sessions yesterday.. there were 4 of us plus the midwive/HV/student nurse. The midwife who runs the group is the midwife I had, so she was really nice and I'm glad it's her cos I don't feel so bad about talking about things as I know she's lovely and would always help out.. she came and gave me a hug when she saw I was coming to the group. I left Ryan with the nursery nurses who I've also met before, and was surpringly not bothered about it and I thought I would be.

Ah well, hope the group carries on well so I can stay off the dreaded anti-depressants...

Hope everyone is well? I keep meaning to check this thread but I left it too long and then I thought god I don't have time to read all those pages so I just gave up LOL.

seem to have as litttle time as ever.

Thought i would update about Dylan and Libbys playdate yesterday.

IT started a little difficultly as Dylan pulled libs hair and made her cry but i think she is planning to be a teacher as she taught him how to stand up on his own..he has been trying for a couple of weeks but Libs just showed him and he copied..in fact he copied a lit she did 2 poo's so Dylan did 2 poo's.They had 2 crawling races which Dylan won both //Libs treid to scratch his eyes out . Dylan also found Em's pot plant and decorateed the floor in soil.Libs has also taught D how to press all the buttons on the DVD player..thanks LIbs i really appreciate it

Anyhow in the end i think Dylan got fed up of the competition on shook on the outside of the playpen to get in and played quietly with his back to everyone.

both were very tired

My sister is here today ,Dylan has restarted swimming and jo jingles although he did pull jo jingles nose instead of hugging like all the other babies do

Well we have had an eventful week!!

But to cut it all down for you!!...I went on a night out at weekend but ended up getting my drink spiked and running home crying and fell and smashed my head on the floor soooooo anyway ended up with a viral infection on the monday

Now mia is teething i think..had a really tiring and stressfull week lets hope next week is better

milliepops was a good girl last nite she only woke once! (during the nite i mean, she woke in the evening but my boyf settled her) shes got separation anxiety big style now tho i really cannot leave the room without her screaming and sobbing her little heart out! i take her everywhere then pretty much, i put the walker by the kitchen door if im washing up or whatever- carseat in bathroom if im in the shower! going to baby clinic tomorra gonna ask about it and also get her weighed and ask what to do if she were to choke (im TOO nervous with finger foods i wont give them if im alone with her) anyway iv posted some recent piccys and some videos of her bouncing and generally being gorgeous in the piccys section if u havent seen them yet.

i kno i already posted in tracey's thread in the m/c and loss section, but wanna wish her girls a happy birthday again
i dont know if she still follows this thread but she used to post in it more than i did so tracey if your reading, lots of hugs to you and steve and your girls

me and jayde havent done much today shes been rather grizzly but think thtas her tooth coming through she was in bed by 6 bless her, daddy didnt even see her tonight as he was home late never mind

whats everyone up to at the weekend we have ohs daughter from friday n ight till sunday tea not looking forward to that as sometikmes shes a right little madam but ow well at least hegwts to see her right im off now hugs to u all

well then everyone, first of al i hope youre all ok and little ones are fine. hope nobody has the flu that is doing the rounds, luckily me and Ami have escaped it thus far but he has manflu so it may not be for much longer...

Ami has to go to hospital today for her RSV shot which is a once a month thing to give her antibodies that i should have given her in the last trimester. it helps her fight any winter colds and flu that she is very susceptable to. im dreading holding her while they shove a needle in

also, she went for her follow up at LGI and the surgeon said he is happy with her and has given the go ahead to try her with solids via mouth!! weve tried but she gets it in her mouth and doesnt quite know what to do with it or chokes, its a very long and painstaking process but i managed to get a teaspoon full of berry yogurt down her yesterday (took me an hour!!)

the nurse is very happy with her, despite reflux she is putting weight on well and is just beow the 50th centile for her corrected age which is great!
physio says shes about one month behind her corrected age which is not too bad, she has left side preference though so im a bit worried about cerebral palsy but all we can do is wait and see.

best go anyway, its medication time and i gotta get her attached to the pump before she notices how hungry she is.

millie's gained weight too (finally! after hovering at around 16lb 12oz for over 2 months) she's now 17lb 8oz, altho she did the massivest poo afterwards and another 2 poos later today idk how many ounces they weighed! the last 2 days iv been giving formula in afternoons again, ill try n keep on track with it- how long do u think i should wait before i replace her evening BF with formula? thats it once iv done that, the only other BFs are the nite ones which i wont be replacing as its much easier to BF!

Me and Jack are brilliant, HV comes out on Friday to discuss weaning, I'm just a bit unsure so am looking forward to having a chat.

On Sunday we start our water babies course, I'm soooo excited. Just think it'll be brilliant bonding time with Jack.

We've booked our holiday, Aug/Sept. 12 night cruise around the canaries on a new boat called Ventura, its 5* and should of been over 3grand each but we got it for half price with it being new.. how very posh lets hope they don't mind having a chav like me aboard

Hi everyone,

What is it about this forum? I came here over an hour ago to write a quick PM and I'm STILL here, the PM isn't written or sent and I've still got emails to send before I go to bed! Too many interesting posts!

We've had a lovely lovely weekend. Due to feeling low and PND recently, my beautiful special friends decided I needed restyled and decided to Trinny and Susannah me on Saturday. They'd been to the sales and bought some tops, jeans, a jacket, shoes and some jewellery all for me and did a bit of Gok and a bit of T&S and I feel so loved and blessed to have such thoughtful precious friends like them - and a wardrobe of new clothes! I am an awkward size and shape and have totally lost my confidence so I really needed taking in hand. Today we went to my MILs (which wasn't TOO traumatic), and I wore skinny jeans, snow boots, a new top and my new coat, did my hair and felt fab. Its amazing what new clothes and a bit of love and support can do.

Ella's been suffering with her teeth again this weekend - I just wish I could see some teeth as its so frustrating, all this pain and no gain! I can't remember if I've posted since we went to the HV, but she's now 14lb 2oz and is 24 weeks today (5 1/2 months). I spoke to the HV re. my PND and not wanting to take the drugs and she invited me to her postnatal depression support group the following day. She even picked me and DD up and took us there (the next town) in her car! The group was okay, I'm just not sure if I really want to confide in those women as I didn't really like them or bond with them (just got a uncomfortable feeling) and they are also quite cliquey I think, but I'm going to go again in a couple of weeks and give it another go. I also don't like the look of the creche and you are encouraged to leave your child there during the group. Its 2 floors down and the creche leader looked mean and horrible, Also, I know this may sound neurotic but I've never left DD with anyone but OH or my parents (and my parents only when she's been sleeping) and I just don't want to dump her in the creche as she needs so much still and is so young to be left, I think.

DD and I are off on the train to see my folks this week for a wee holiday. No cooking, cleaning for me and my Mum will look after DD while I go for a shower/wee/am on the phone - etc - it'll be brill! My mum is paying for me to get my hair cut and coloured for my birthday while I'm there and I might meet up with someone from the forum who lives nearby (if I eventually send that PM!) so it'll be really good. I think OH will really miss DD though as we'll be away for 4 nights.

Lovely to hear about Libby and Dylan's playdate. DD is scared as she can't sit up yet and rarely poos, but is still keen to meet them!

Sorry I have no other personal messages - I can't remember most of what everyone has said (but have read - honest!)- but wanted to say hello to you all and welcome to all the new posters - you are very welcome here! We are all meeting up in Derby on Wed 27th Feb and anyone is welcome to come. I'm coming from Edinburgh, so no distance related excuses please!

V..i will make D be on best behaviour but he pushed a little boy over at swimming in the changing rooms and climbed on him but the other boy fought back and mom was fine LOL.

D will have a chat with Ella about pooing it is a fave subject of his...He pooed on the carpet on Sunday after he had heard libs had on Saturday ..libs also is a great teacher but not always what you want her to teach lol.

RE creche..i have to say i feel the same about them..i would sooner leave D with someone he at least knows but go with your instincts..i do belive a mothers instinct is usually right.

Anyhow D has seen pidatrician today he is now 22LBs 15oz....they keep saying weight gain slows down but he is still gaining well.
