not much to really say today just been into town to the bank, off shopping with my mum on sunday as she wants to buy jaydes xmas present, might go swimming tomorrow morning with jayde hope everyone has a nice wekend

Hey girls,

We're back and it was lovely. There were a few well-meaning comments, but I'm trying really hard not to be so touchy as people don't mean their words to be taken like that. They are from people who care about her and aren't necessarily intentionally meaning to hurt my feelings or cast mild judgement on my parenting skills. Things like:-

"will she not need a hat?", "are you not starting her on baby rice yet?" and "she'll need that blanket tucked in"

I know they are just innocent comments, but I can't help feeling peed when people say that kind of thing. My baby, not yours and I think she's warm enough/satisfied with milk etc!

The cot was in my room so it was fine. She slept well in a cot (she's still just in her moses basket at home as its quite big and she doesn't move when she's asleep) and only woke up once. I am having a few Ella related problems - clicky - but I am sure I'll get through it as I just find the whinging quite draining - she's never been a grizzly baby, so contented usually. I'll see how the next few days go.

I'm off to bed now, then tomorrow we are going to chose our (real) Christmas tree and put up our decorations (yay!), I have to wrap some eBay things that are finishing (fingers crossed for more last minute bidders - I have like 15+ watchers on a couple of things!) and I also have to tidy out and organise some cupboards to get things put away ready for a big clean on Monday.

What's your mum getting Jayde jm? How are you and Dylan now Cloud, what was wrong with you both?

Dylan is out with Daddy so had a nice soak in tub gonna make some mince pies in a mo.

I have sold D's swin on ebay i bought it for £25 and sold it for £24.50 not bad eh.good luck with your auctions v.

me and D have had virus's colds continually for about 6 weeks we just kept passing germs to each other. I am taking multi vits now so hopefully fight off a few germs

D is crawling around wihich is great but now he gets into his cot and starts crawling around chatting it took and hour and a half to get him to bed last night.he woke up at 4 and wouldn't go back to sleep till 5.15 i hiope last night was a one off

last swim session tomorrow before xmas break and seeing MIL ..i am looking forward to seeing her
anyhow gonna get on while i have the house to myself

I know what you mean about the well meaning comments V, sometimes you want to scream at people!! I get really frustrated sometimes, normally with the mil who I don't even see as she is in Fife, but I think sometimes I am looking for it if you know what I mean, just so I can have a good moan about her!!!!!

Yay for the crawling Cloud, that is sooooo exciting, we are still rocking on all fours!! I am sure we will get there at some point!

I am still busy busy, been doing some shopping today then went to my Mum's and then my sisters. We bought Chloe a mamas and papas rocking horse as her welcome to the world present so we went to deliver it! I know it is a bit late but we were supposed to be getting her the high chair but my Dad got it for he instead so we eventually decided on the horse, it is soooooo cute and was in the sale so was only £25 so if anyone is stuck for a Christmas present, get yourselves down to argos!

Hi girls sorry I've not been on much. Austin's had this horrible cold for ages which has aggravated his eye problem (don't know if anyone saw my post here), so he's had conjunctivitus in both eyes for a few days which was horrible. He's also really whingy & clingy at the moment which is exhausting! On the plus side though he's getting so big and grown up now! He's started standing by himself for a few seconds at a time, and spends most of his day pulling up and cruising round the furniture.

We went & chose our Christmas tree today, it's the first year we've been at home for Christmas so we've got a real tree & I'm so pleased with it! I haven't put it up yet as we've borrowed a stand from OH's parents & they only gave it to us this evening so not had time yet.

I've pretty much finished my Christmas shopping now! I've just got to get Austin's fish tank and that's it. I'm really impressed with myself, I've never been this organised before!

It sounds like everyone's been busy, I do enjoy reading what other people are up to.

It's my birthday a week tomorrow & OH's taking me out to dinner. It's the first time we'll have left Austin with a babysitter so I'm not sure whether I'm looking forward to it or not but I know it'll be nice to get out with just OH so we can be a couple rather than mummy & daddy. Loads of people have offered to have him overnight if we want but there's no way I could do that yet. Is that silly?

sorry to be AWOL I've been sooooo busy!!
Work is taking up a lot of my time after Lib is in bed...crazy busy atm....and Libby is crawling, standing and cruising now, so I have absolutely no time to take my eyes off her in the days anymore
I am amazed how much she is doing now!!! She started clapping y'day which I am chuffed with, and she is so much happier now she is mobile, before she could get herself about she was getting a bit frustrated, and would only crack a smile if you worked hard to get it, but now, she laughs if you so much as smile at her.
She has started this tongue spitting blowing thing, and she does little short bursts which sounds like she's sneezing (hard to explain) - it is sooooooo funny!! Daddy however is not impressed, especially as she was doing it in his face earlier
Oh, and I went to B'ham last night to watch the xmas barges sail (is that the right word for barges) down the canal, and I met Noddy Holder!!!! If your on FB check out my new profile pic! I was chuffed to bits, I had Libby in the sling and he was chatting to me about her, and babies etc......!! Oh, and he smelt gorgeous

Glad to hear everyone is well, i know what you mean V about peoples comments, I am good at biting my tongue now, but I've had longer to practise, you'll get there, I don't even flinch anymore
M - That rocking horse sounds great....and a bargain too!!

Glad everyone is ok, think we're all well again now aren't we girls??

I have been so busy getting my life back together once n for all... i've been single a whole yr now was the anniversary of my ex leaving on the 7th i'm so happy compared to this time last yr i have a beauitful little girl and am very happy with my life i have been going to the gym and stuff...

Keeley is 15months on saturday she's a cheeky madam she drops things on purpose now and puts her hand over her mouth and says "ohhh"

my news

took D to see snata on Monday he was a bit bewildered but i thoguhly enjoyed it he has grauated intermediate level 1 at swimming and broken up from jo jingles today so he is offically on xmas holidays.

he has been to see princess libby today and they are now spa ing partners who just figth with each other ..she tries to pull his hair but can't coz he doesn't have much so tries to scratch his eyes out he pulls her hair coz she has plenty then they fight over the same toy till one loses intrest and goes find something else then suprise suprise the other one wants it to....you can't tell they are only children LOL

millie's not too well today, she has the sniffles and has sneezed lots. i really hope it dont progress into a proper cold

went to mum & baby groups' xmas party yesterday. we won pass the parcel- millie got this weird plastic tripod thing with allsorts of spinning colourful bits on it and beads to move and stuff. it said 9 months + on the box but she still plays with it. she sat on santa's knee too and didnt waa- i was very proud! and she pulled his beard- LOL!
when i get the pics from HVs i will post them (i forgot my cam )

friday tomorra- another week- where do they go?! time flies when ur a mum doesnt it. my boyfs off next week then its crimbo

I had to take Austin back to the doctors today, he's been under the weather for about 4 weeks now and not getting any better. Then on Monday evening he had a low fever and was coughing loads. He's gone off his food and has been really hot for the past couple of days. The doctor said it looks like he started with just a viral thing but because he's suddenly got a lot worse he'll hopefully respond to the antibiotics.

I was so worried about him last night, he was hot and was only happy having a cuddle. We tried to put him to bed but he ended up only sleeping on OH's chest, so we just let him do that then took him to bed with us when we went.

I hate him being ill, I'd do anything to make him feel better but I feel so helpless.

Hopefully the antibiotics will work and he'll be back to normal by Christmas.

On a different note we've got his 7-9 month check on Wednesday afternoon, I'm really looking forward to it!

Hope everyone's ok and looking forward to Christmas! Not long to go now (it's my birthday on Monday so I can't get to excited about Christmas until after that!)

hi everyone. Hope everyone is ok.

Oran had his 7-9 month check today. All is well, he is 18lb 13oz so under the 50th centile line but HV not worried, he is 74cm and thats the 98th centile I think he is going to be tall. Everything else was ok.

hope millie is not sniffling D has toys that say 18mth + on them and he plays with them..i thought i wouldn't touch anything under the guideline age but no i figure you ahve to figure out why it has that age on it.
poor Austin i know what you mean how helpless you feel when they are pooly hopefull the anitbiotics will help.

D still hasn't had his check up but i am not worried they will give him one in time

Austin's xheck up is 10 days before he turns 9 months old, I thought they were cutting it a bit fine but in the red book it says it should be a 6-12 month assessment. Even though on the letter I received it says 7-9 months!
