Off out for lunch today with Cloud & D and my friend & her son, so looking forward to that :cheer:

hi all

hope everyone is ot alot to say well my first period has arrived this morning
jaydes being grumpy today think its her teething off to take ohs daughter to get her hair cut in a bit and go to boots for some milk for jayde then not up to much else hope everyone else is having a good day

hi all hope your all ok.

just managing to pop on cause mum has taken dad over to pick his car up from the garage, so I asked if she would take oran in the car seat to see if he would sleep as he has just had milk and eyes were rolling but he just wouldnt sleep - its a good thing now he has all his naps in his cot I guess, but it means its a bit of a bugger to get him to nap when were not with the cot lol. Anyway at this time in trafic I should get a good 45 min break, ill put mums shopping away though as just done big shop, had to dump it all in the kitchen and go - arnt I a good daughter ha ha

good you lot talk to much and I always think ''oh ill remeber to say this' or ''ill remember to comment on that'' then I get to the end of all the gossip and forgotten everything!!

Men are all the same though ladies, Em / M I know what you both mean, its like a selfish reflex they have, they seem to think that cause there working all day when there not at work its ''their'' time, and cause we do nothing all day - grrr they should try looking after the apples of our eyes all day every day!! B is the same, comes home from work, plays with oran for half hour, then o gets grizzly as its nealy bed time or tea time or teeth or all 3 so B goes, ''im off in to the bedroom to play on the comp'' or ''why dont you take him in the bedroom and play so I can watch the simpsons'' whatever it is, it always finishes with ''ive been working all day you know;'' hmmmm yeah its not like you remind me every fricking minute is it, then last sat I got up with O, (he doesnt even get up with him on a weekend, but not that I tell him, I dont mind cause it means my routine does not mess up!) then he got up about an hour later and said ''right im off out see you in a bit'' and buggered off to town!! Oooo I was angry. but then he does have his good moments, he worships O and plays with him and kisses and huggs him and he does take him out on a sunday if I ask him to (but I never get me time as I end up blasting the apt with a clean lol) and he is off the hook as just rung me to say he has booked us both in to toni & guy tomorrow for our hair doing and to check if mum can have O, (which she can) not sure if he realises mine will be about 3x the price of his :rotfl: but bless him for it!

JO, o has the same PJ's as ellie but in the blue/turquoise boys colour lol

Nic : i love that bouncy council, suppose its the thought that counts!

M : glad the funeral went as well as couldbe expected, and glad you managed to have anight out with your friends to cheer you up a bit

kk - hope your having fun in devon.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to move back to my mums but B wont have it, im getting seriousy narked off in/with the apt and I think its actually depressing me!

Hi JW! Good to see you online! I can understsand where you are coming from with moving to your Mums, I sometimes get bees in my bonnet about things then they are all I can think of and this can cause me to become quite down, keep on at B he will eventually get so peed off with you he will relent!

Hi to everyone else, we have had a good day, spent the morning ironing whilst watching the da vinci code and thomas was playing on his mat - everytime I looked over he was on his tummy!! What a clever little boy - or a wally whichever way you want to look at it! He doesn't really like being on his tummy so if I turned him once this morning I turned him a hundred times!

This afternoon I took him swimming with my sister and one of the girls I met at baby massage - she is great really down to earth and normal! The other girls from our course are great too but they are all a bit stepford housewifey!!! Pip and I are perfectly normal!!!!

This evening Paul is on nights so my friend might be coming over for a glass of wine as a pre drinks drink as we are going out tomorrow night!

I sometimes feel like I am going out all the time but I'm not really the majority of the time Thomas comes with me but it is nice to go out on the odd occasion and be just Mandy again, it also makes it great to come home to my little rabbit!!! (thomas rabbit not rampant!) :rotfl:

Hi All
JW - Lovely to see you :cheer: Whats happening with that house you were gonna buy? Is that still goin ahead?
M - You are the socialising Queen :D why not though eh?Make the most of it before you go back to work
Speaking of which, from Sept my mom is having Libby every Wed so I can go to work at the office and get more done, not sure if thats :D or :( at the moment
Have had a lovely afternoon lunching with the girls, we then went shopping & I bought 4 tops, a pair of wedge heels, a pair of black linen trousers and ordered my dress for my party:
my dress
They didn't have my size, so have ordered it for delivery....i hope it looks ok on
Dylan was super cute today, and we determined that he does have the softest skin on his face ever, softer than Libby & Daniels (my friends baby who came out).....he was on top form today, and Cloud & Dylan gave us a sample of how they sing Old Macdonald (with actions) which we showed C tonight and Libby giggled all the way through
Hope all is well with everyone

Hey girls!

Jayceesmumma - You should be able to PM Urchin or Laura to change your username - let me know if you've any probs and I can get in touch with them for you. You are funny about your sofa!!!! I hope Ellie's colic subsides soon for you.

jennywren - So lovely to hear from you - you are hilarious about the 45 min break!

Cloud9 - How did it go with the home support worker - did they offer any practical help?

missac - Enjoy your night out - I am jealous but not ready to leave Ella yet!

jaydesmummy - I can't believe how long your first period took! I hope mine stays away that long (I am hopeful as I'm b/feeding!)

Emmylou/missac/jennywren - My OH is driving me MAD at the moment. This isn't surprising as we've just spent seven weeks together 24/7 as he's a teacher and been off for the summer. I think I'm getting everything out of proportion in my head but he does say things like:

"I think I'm doing really well on the sleep deprivation since Ella was born" - this is meant to be a joke but I seem to have mislaid my sense of humour. I am b/feeding and he doesn't wake from the moment his head hits the pillow until 7 or 8am ish.

"I think I'll go to the football next Saturday" - this is after my first week at home on my own with Ella - so I'll be on my own six days next week and I'm scared I'll be really lonely. Plus we have no money.

Cloud9/Emmylou - How was your lunch and where are the pics???! What did you have to eat?

We've not been up to much today - we went out for a big forrest walk and out for a lunch we can't afford - it was yummy though. We've been a bit silly with money since Ella was born and need to stop spending our overdraft!

I've been feeling a bit down for the past few days to be honest - I am being really unreasonable with OH (who is being a prat, but I am totally over-reacting) and I just can't snap out of this horrible bad mood - I really want to enjoy this special time with my tiny daughter but (although she is sleeping well) I just feel a bit zombie like and out of it all the time. I really love her, I just get myself into stupid states and can't feel happy?

It really isn't like me to feel like this so I just want to take a magic medicine and to start feeling positive and upbeat again! Any tips? I am desperate not to get PND so very keen to get on top of this now.

So sorry for being a big moan girls.

Valentine xxx

that dress is beautiful!! I love dressing up I am going to raid sisters wardrobe again tomorrow for tomorrow night then me and my friend are having a fasion show to decide what to wear - I love being a girl!!

aw v I think what you are exoeriencing is sleep deprivation! In the first weeks I found it so hard because I was just so tired, I felt permanently hungover and p and I would moan at each other about crap, luckily we would always laugh about it and accept that the reason we were arguing was because we were tired. I understant youe thoughts about next week though as I was really concerned about p going back to work, but you find that it is quite empowering and you realise that you are all your little one needs. I love that I am the one that has got thomas into his routine and I love being his main man!! I also love it when P is off though as we all need a break now and again!

I am sure that you will beat getting pnd and if you don't it is just a case of recognising the start of it and catching it before it becomes a problem, big hugs chicken xxx

Aww V, to be honest your hormones will still be playing you up. I think it is important for you to go for nice walks with Ella, and make sure you get out and about next week when your OH is back at work, otherwise you'll get cabin fever. Sometimes I just walk around the block, or to the 'big' park and back, just to get out the house.
C used to say....oh the sleep deprivation is the worst, wound me up a treat!!!! He would sleep from 11pm until 10am.....what special kind of sleep depravation was he experiencing :shakehead:
Just think, have a nice weekend together then you'll have your girl to yourself next week.
I think re: feeling down, this is maybe because you are feeling alittloe overwhelmed by things, and in the nicest possible way, perhaps a bit crowded by your OH, I know I sometimes feel a bit crowded by C, there is a greater freedom when its just me & Lib, but nice when C comes home to us - if you see what I mean.
Whilst Ella has a nap, don't stress about housework etc, have some you time, read a bit of a book, straighten your hair, or even just apply your makeup (the hair & makeup thing was my fave thing to do) so you feel more like yourself not just yourself as a mummy :)

M - Being a girl is fab isn't it....I hope you find something fab in your sisters wardrobe, my sisters raid my wardrobe of all the clothes that no longer fit me, can't so the same with them as they are both size 10, and those days are long gone for me

Thanks missac - I know I'm getting things out of context, I just want to feel happy again and don't want to spoil this special time by feeling down in the dumps! Grrrr. I think I'll be fine once Monday comes around (I'm actually looking forward to getting rid of him!) and we settle into a sort-of routine.

I just need to eat more chocolate I think! Speaking of that, how is your diet going - I hope you are eating enough?

Emmy - Sorry we cross posted! I am LOVING the dress and think you will look STUNNING in it! When is your party? Do we get to see pics?

xxx
