Completely pointless post, it's just that it seems my LO has just self weaned. She's just over 11 months and has only been having a bedtime feed for around a month with the last couple of weeks obviously just being for comfort. So I bit the bullet tonight and she's gone down with no fuss with just a cuddle and a dummy.

I feel really sad but also so proud that we've let nature run it's course and let her decide what to do, I always knew I wouldn't be able to feed her past 1 as she's never been boob obsessed and has always dropped feeds a lot earlier than her baby chums. Plus she's a little piglet with her food and there's not enough room in there for all of it!

I've loved every single minute of feeding her and would do it all again in a heartbeat. I now no longer have an excuse for other people wanting to look after her :/

Awww congratulations on bf for as long as you did! I think you just have to follow their lead xx

So she doesn't have any milk feeds now? I'm currently bf my 8mth old and would love him to do the same rather than move to formula. How old was she when she dropped daytime feeds? We're currently on 3 feeds and when I'm back at work I won't be able to feed in the day. Sorry for all the questions!!

Well done on feeding for so long :-))) xx

No, she has about half a cup of cows milk in the morning then a full cup before bed but I introduced these after she had lost interest in bf. I didn't want to replace the feeds with cows milk but as she wasn't bf anymore, she obviously needs some milk. I think she was around 8-9 months when she dropped to just morning and evening but a friend of mine went back to work when LO was 8 months and he flat out refused bottles so he went without milk during the day and made up for it in the morning and bedtime. When do you go back to work ?x

I'm back at work the start of May, so if imagine we'll be ok on 2 feeds by then as he'll be 10mths. My lo refuses a bottle too - we'll be going straight to a cup! Thanks for the info - I totally get your point about not having an excuse to leave lo with others! I realised the other night the longest I've been away from him is 3 hrs :-/ xx
