Thanks to my GP for upsetting me

Had to go back to the GP yesturday to get my BP checked and hope that they will reduce my meds (no such luck) but the thing that upset me most was that he had been sent a letter from my physio who is dealing with my 3rd degree tear which says my mood is low.

She doesn't know me and would you be happy if you are having to go to the hospital to be poked around down there.

Any way my Gp turned around and in his words asked the fatel question which upset me 'do I have a tendancy to harm myself'

I know they are only doing there jobs and it is a routine question to rule out PND but dont think that he knew the full story of my labour and complications which I suffered so I had to put him straight.

I'm thinking that all the medical prefessions which I am having to see think I may get PND because of the trauma suffered but im thinking the more they go on about it I probly will end up getting very down.

Of course I have days when I cry but only because something has happend i.e. when I went to the pub and ended up wetting myself as I have no pelvic floor muscle so I carnt stop myself.

Why carnt they just leave me alone.

I think professionals sometimes forget that whilst they have to make sure people are ok, those people have feelings too. I'm sorry it's made you feel so bad hun.

Aw hun. Some docs/nurses astound me. They are supposed to be doing their job because they like to care for people. Some of them are quite incapable of showing a bit of compassion and sympathy when required.

aww thats crap hun. i have depression on my medical history as well as self harm and not one person has asked me about pnd or anything lol. my hv didnt even give me the questionnaire i was supposed to take to lo's 8 week check and noone has mentioned it. good job im happy huh.
