Is anyone planning on using one of these? If so are you hiring it or buying it? And where from/how much is it costing etc etc? Xx

I have one, was £10 off of ebay but not sure if I am going to use it yet or not, might give it a go depends how I feel! You fancy trying one? xx

wow thats cheap!!!! I was looking on the Boots website and they start at about 70 quid. I might look on ebay now - ive got a couple of friends who swore their tens got them through early labour x

I hired one for around £24.00 from a promotion at the NEC baby show last time. It was a digital Mamatens machine & I used this, gas & air & 1 dose of pethidine during my labour last time & that was sufficient pain relief wise for me. The funniest thing thing when I used the machine was that it was a really hot day & the pads kept sliding down my back. The midwife & my hubby were trying to put them back on when I got a contraction. I pressed the buttons & gave both of them an electric shock!!! So try not to press buttons if someone is holding the pads in their fingers as apparently it's pretty painful

My hospital loan them out for free from when you're 37 weeks so I'm going to give it a bash. Might be worth checking with midwife in case yours does too, save you some pennies.

Boots also hire them at 25quid that's one customer told me cos she was advising me to get one..it helps her a lot and said was amazing.. Might check at ebay for cheap option lol!!

I'm thinking of getting one too. Mw said it would be helpful in early labour. I think I would rather hire one though.

Oh mw said to get one with a boost button? Has anyone seen one with a boost button?

Mine had a boost button.. just pressed it as the contraction was getting worse... i liked playing with it and it distracted me :D So i think Ill try and get one again this time. My birthing centre loaned me one from 38 weeks onwards.

they r really good tho i got mine of midwife free after i was 37 weeks and i could stay at home longer with mild contractions they do really work x

Are some better than others or do they all pretty much do the same job? There seems to be quite alot of choice n I wouldn't know where to start! X
