Tens machine hire

I'm thinking about hiring a tens machine for labour rather than buying one.
Has anyone done this? What companys have you used and would recommend? How much did it cost?

my midwife let me borrow one for a small donation (£10) just to pay for new batteries/gel etc, i know you can get them through ebay or mothercare, not sure how much but its worth asking your midwife

Around here we can hire from Sure Start. It was £15 - £10 of that was a deposit in case you nicked it, and you got it back when you returned it, but £5 was for the pads on it. I didn't do it but was going to, worth giving your local one a call to see if they do it cos I doubt you'll find it cheaper than £5!

Thanks for the replies. I'll have a word with my midwife, I'm sure she'd know if sure start do them too and how to contact them
