Stupid temp rules and sleeping bags.

I have two different makes of sleeping bag at 2.5 tog...
One says 16-21 degress, to have her in a long sleeved vest, and thats it
The other says a vest and sleepsuit... Im confuddled!

Our room goes between 18-21 degrees, and I put her in a long sleeved vest and she felt cold, but put on a sleepsuit and vest and she was hot!! Random!

What temp is your room and what does your LOk wear with their sleeping bags?

And also does anyone else find 18 degrees FREEZING??! I have to wear a jumper to bed..but this is the ideal room temp for her?

yea i agree 18 is freezing!!!!

Our room is about 20 as i struggle to get it lower than that and REFUSE to open a window in January!
I did so much research on what a baby should and shouldnt wear to bed but to be honest, like adults, every baby is different. Dylan sleeps in a short sleeve vest, a sleepsuit and a 2.5tog sleeping bag and is quite content. I experimented with more/less layers but found this is how he is happiest. If it was a particulary warm or cold i'd adjust accordingly but he's quite happy with those layers :) xx

where it annoys me is ours states if 18 degrees:- long sleeved vest, and of 20 degrees:- vest and sleepsuit..

But our room starts at 21 and drops to 18 in night.....so I have to add the clothes during night... Sooo much easier when you can add or take blankets away

Shes just prone to kicking her cover soff so though bag might be better for her...ah well! If only I could keep house at a consistant temp :shakehead:

I sometimes add a blanket over the sleeping bag if Ella gets cold in the night, don't know if this is something that you are 'meant' to do or not though! Also, we used to put a cardigan on her in the night when she was younger, but back to front so we didn't have to lift her up - does that make sense? So, arms in, but the back bit over her tummy!

Calum is the same, our room is usually about 19C and this is about right for him.

I think if it was colder I would add a blanket rather than disturbing him to add clothes as once he's in the bag he can't kick as effectively! :D

Lola Mae sleeps in a vest, babygrow and her 2.5 tog sleeping bag (when we use it! We alternate lol) And a cellular blanket as its freezing in my room! (starts around 18C but quickly drops to 15C  No idea why it gets so cold tbh lol) She is happy with that!
She definitely not a hot baby! In fact, she often wakes because of the cold at around 5am and I have to add another blanket poor girl! Cant wait for the summer so she doesnt get too cold :(
