Talk about birthing DIY!!!!

I'm still in shock about a birth I've just heard about.

A family member has just given birth, she's 20 years of age, this is her third pregnancy but fourth child. Her waters broke early Saturday morning, she drove herself to hospital about 2.30 am, had the baby about 4.30 am and then drove herself and the baby home about 6.00am!!!!! Her Mum and sisters were all away for the weekend as she delivered early so she didn't even have anyone with her (think she's split from baby's father).

OMG there's no way I'm gonna be like that! I've already told my OH I'm going to need constant hand holding and mollycoddling.............

this story baffles me. I can get how someone really fat might not notice the size but the movements!!! How can people not recognise the kicks especially near the end.
