Sweep...

This post follows on from another already on the go but I was wondering for those who have had a sweep what does it feel like? Does it hurt? What exactly do they do?

Its similer to a smear test. They run their finger round the inside of the cervix and seperate the membranes. It is uncomfortable but not quite as bad as a smear.

as kelly said, its uncomfortable but not painfull. She will basically put her finger inside you (with gloves and lube on) and then make a circular motion with her finger. And thats about it, mines lasted for about a minute. During this time she checked how dialted i was and the position of my cervix (it was far back so she pulled it forward).
mines set me off into labour about 6-7hours after i had it done.
