Hi
For many weeks through my preg until about 27 weeks I used to wake every night sweaty. Not drenched but sweaty chest area and under hair etc and just really hot. Midwife Said it was due to extra blood in system and hormones.

A few days before iwas 40weeks I started getting it again and I'm now three days post natal and get it when I wake, whethers it's from a nap or during the night. Anyone else?

I vaguely remember it from dd birth, plus a couple of my friends have had it, but just wondered if any of you ladies had and how long it lasts? I'm also bfeeding so not sure if that related....

I've been experiencing this too! My little girl is now 12 days old and most times I wake up I'm dripping (lovely!) I'd put it down to being so tired that I'm too asleep to kick my covers off when I'm warm, which is what I usually do but maybe there's more to it?!x

Its all the excess fluid from pregnancy leaving your body. I woke up dripping in sweat after Alex was born, was terrified i had caught a bug or something as i never usually sweat until i read up on it.

Its just starting to ease off now at 3 week. You may find it makes you really cold at night also, i often fell asleep in the covers wearing my pj's and dressing gown xx

I had this after having DS, it was horrible, I used to wake up drenched and freezing! Like vicky said its the extra fluid from pregnancy coming out. I used to sleep with a towel under me. Luckily it only lasted a few weeks xxx

Anyone else still getting this?

I am. Baby is 3 weeks on thurs.

I hate how not all health professionals recognize this as being hormonal. A midwife said its not usual and yet another said it is. Then I ad health visitor out today and mentionedit to her and she was trying to relate it to the fact I hav an infection in my 3rd degree tear. But it's nothing to do with that as the very first night I hav birth, I started waking up with under my hair soacked in sweat and at that point didn't have the infection. Plus I had this sweating after I had my daughter.plus 2 of my friends had it, plus lots of ladies I've asked!

X

i get it too and im 3 months post partum x

I had my son 4 weeks ago and I still have problems with this. I've sweated so much some nights it's soaked the bedsheets! It's not every night for me any more though. I just assumed it was down to hormones (like hot flushes) and would settle in time?

I am still . Like this sometimes, and Molly is 13weeks. :)

Amelia is a month old now, and im still suffering with sweating bad.. even when i got the bus to take little man childcare,.. i had to take tissue out to mop my brow lol.. its not nice.. doesnt help the witch has made her return grr xx
