Hi Lovely Mummies
I'd be really grateful for some advice as I seem to have my GP and HV stumped!
I'm mummy to a beautiful 7 week old baby girl, we're breastfeeding and all's going well...apart from the horrendous night sweats i'm suffering from. The only info I can seem to gather from people and Google is that the sweating is possibly caused by Prolactin, the hormone responsible for milk production.

Everyone's told me it's early days, your body's getting back to normal etc etc

But as I'm completely drenched every night, it's pretty disgusting TBH, I'd really love to hear if anyone else has had the same experience. When can I expect things to get back to normal. I'd love to wake up in the morning and not feel soaked. I really, really want to continue to BF but the sweating is completely doing me in! Please help!

Sorry I don't think I can help much, I didn't suffer with this

I'm sure there will be someone on here who is going through the exact same thing, hope it clears up soon

Oh yes i had this it was bloody horrible, i would wake up in the night feeling so manky. My nightwear would be stuck to me :(

But it does go away :) I cant remember exactly how long it took but i am sure it was gone by at least 2/3 months :D

Thanks. It's good to hear that this will hopefully stop soon, it's really been bothering me!!! :(

Hi I had this for the first 10 weeks. I would wake up drenched in sweat and also milk as i was constantly leaking (tmi sorry). And because I co-slept LO got soaked too! :? Anyway It does go away. Wear light bed clothes and keep a window open. :)

It's gross isn't it. I had this and my HV said she'd never heard of it - silly old moo. I just slept on a towel to soak it all up - god those were such glamorous times :rotfl:

Can't remember when it stopped though - sorry.
