Sure Start Maternity Grant

Hey girls well my boyfriend is self employed and I am currently looking for work even though I am not getting anywhere but hopefully a lil job with turn up! Anyways if you are self employed do you know if you can claim this? I have read through the net to search and asked my JSA advisor but hey are unsure? Has anyone here or their partner been self employed and claimed. The money would help alot lol

As far as I know it doesn't matter if you are self employed or not, just whether you get over the family element of Child tax credit.
