Hi all

Hubby and I are TTC. I'm on a journey with slimming world to lose unwanted lbs, also to help with the TTC.

I've been looking at supplements to try and help boost our chances. There are so many to chose from.

I wondered what supplements you are all taking (if any)

Thanks

My husband is on the wellman tablets at the moment (just started this month) and I've been taking folic acid and Vit D.

I have some seven sea's trying for a baby tablets I was going to move onto but just realised they're out of date now - not sure how much of a difference that will make so will probably just chuck them and stick with the vit D and folic acid.

Hubby and I took the Tesco his&her ones, altho he wasn't always the best at remembering to take his. We also initially tried the pregnacare his & her ones, but their composition is so similar to the Tesco ones it didn't seem worth the higher price

Tesco do 3 for 2 on all the pregnancy /conception vitamins, so recommend them for stocking up on whatever you choose

Now I'm pg, I'm taking the pregnacare one that includes a fish oil supplement. I don't eat fish at all, so wanted to have a source of omega3. Pregnacare do one that is specially made to be low in vitamin a (standard fish oils are too bit a rich to be safe in pregnancy)

In addition to prenatals, I take maca and ashwagandha, which are great for energy/stress response/mood too :)

Oh and the active form of folic acid, so folate/methylfolate instead of folic acid. I take it in a combination folate/b12 supplement.

My hubby took Wellman conception , and I took folic acid, omega 3:fish oil capsules, vitamin D and Vitamin C supplements. Once pregnant I switched to Pregnancare Max, which I took with my last pregnancy. I swear Wellman conception is a good luck charm lol Every time we switch to it from something else , we fall pregnant ha ha ha well twice that happened , highly recommend lol

I've started taking Seven Seas 'Trying for a Baby' but by the looks of the packet it is the usual folic acid etc. They were on offer in Boots to helped myself to a few packets ready for the months ahead :)
