[quote="lea m":199dsx9w]I have been using this apricot scrub thing lol (cant think who makes it I will have to check?)

St Ives?

mmmm, <3 the smell of apricot, anything fruity really lol.

For spots, just use a spot friendly cleanser in the day like Clearasil, then at night when you don't go out, slap on loads of Sudocrem, its antibacterial so will help clear up acne, and its a barrier cream so won't let germs in.
Also, if you wear foundation, a mineral foundation is much better for your skin than the traditional ones.

Yeah it is St.Ives!
Its really good for me! :D
Also, I was watching Lorraine Kelly this morning lol and a girl came on and she was saying savlon is great for blemishes and all sort! So I think I might give that a try![/quote:199dsx9w]

Funny enough, when I was around 14-15 I used to put Savlon on every couple of nights and sleep in it, and I wasn't plagued with acne at all, and some people think this is minging, but instead of using soap and water to wash your face, try sensetive baby wipes. I had perfect skin, and my friend did aswell by doing this, not because we have sensetive skin, but some other reason that I can't explain lol.

You know, I used to use baby wipes for my face (I had heard of that before) but when I was pg with my 2cd son, the smell of the wipes made me feel sick (which was a pain as my first was still a baby lol)
But yeh, I totally forgot about that? i might try it again!? Oh lol probably not a good time hee hee while Im pg again?? hee hee

I used to LOVE goin on the sunbeds and bein all nice and brown but stopped when i found out i was preggo. I have a facial solarium thingy which iv used a couple of times but to be honest you'll prob just get to the stage where you can't be bothered and you don't care if you have a few spots! I can't wait till iv had my little man n i can get brown again though...especailly as its nearly SUMMER!! :cheer: Iv never been so pale in my life but its all for a VERY good cause!

I really dont understand the sun bed and fake tan thing. Not meaning to offend anyone, but the tan always looks orange and horrible, the pale natural freckled look looks so much nicer.

Would never ever use a sun bed not just for this reason but for the obvious health concerns around them - just dont think having a tan is worth what could happen. But then a lot of people around me have been affected by cancer.

At the end of the day its down to personal choice but like others have said, if its not recommended at all I cant imagine its safe during pregnancy.

^^^ Totally agree... I see so many orange girls walking about, it's not a good look. It would be nice if people could just accept the skin colour they were born with! I love the pale 'English rose' look, and if you look after your skin you'll look lovely for many yrs as opposed to a freckly leather bag! I mean, fine, fake tan if you must, but I will never understand using sunbeds or sunbathing.... it's terrifying the amount of people who get skin cancer (but then again I live in Oz and the sun is badddd here). People here don't seem to understand that if your skin is changing colour, it is being damaged! :x
