Hi, I'm new to this forum and wanted to share my story with anyone having ICSI treatment.
I have been trying to conceive with my fiancé for nearly 5 years and we were referred to the fertility clinic. I found out I had endometriosis and my finance a very low sperm count so we were offered a cycle of ICSI treatment. I also told I needed to loose weight before the treatment could start. My weight was 14 stone 9lb and it just took me under a year to get to 11 stone 5lb (well below the current BMI 30). I started treatment on 4th May this year. I was on one injection a day and then went to 2 injections a day for a total of 10 days. I only had 9 follicles collected, 6 eggs, 3 fertilised and only 1 made it to a 5 day blastocyst. I had my embryo put back in on 21st May and the next day me and my partner went away for a couple of days to take our mind off things.

On the Friday we got back (25th May) I had really bad cramps, like period pains and I went to the toilet to find I was bleeding. This lasted for 7 days.
I took a pregnancy test 4 days before my official testing date and got a faint positive. I then took a pregnancy test every day until my official testing date and the positive line got deeper. I phoned the clinic to advise them of my positive result and was booked in for a scan on 22nd June (another 3 week wait). I had the scan and seen a little heart beat, it was amazing. I hope my storey can help at least one person going through IFV/ICIS not to believe everything you read on the internet. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant. IVF treatment is mentally, physically and emotionally draining.
Good luck to everyone out there xxx
