Hi all,

this is a bit of a silly question but it just crossed my mind.

Me and DH are going to rent out our spare room and the lady who is interested is 3 months preg.

I know that if females live together for any length of time, their cycles tend to synchronise.

Do you think that living with a pregnant woman would affect my cycles in any way? I'm just getting back to normal after coming off the pill and I wouldn't want anything to affect that.

I've heard this as well, but growing up with 2 sisters, we didn't synchronise, so I wouldn't think is would be a problem.

Fingers crossed for you bfp!

My cycles did to a certain extent but that was when was living with 5 other women at uni lol. I cant imagine it would effect your cycle that much to be far. Is she gong to want to live at your house after she's had her baby, are you going to have to baby-proof your house?

she'll only be with us for about 3 months.

Maybe she'll positively affect me! I just wasn't sure whether anyone had any experience in these matters.

Thanks for your advice, very reassuring. I don't want my cycles to get really long or stop altogether!!

Think it'll be fine, we'll go ahead.

I was always in sync with my mum then when moved out my MIL. Now I'm all over the shop :rotfl:

Hope it helps you.

I lived with my sister when she was pregnant with her first baby & it didn't affect my cycle at all. I think if it was going to it'd take more than 3 months to synchronise anyway?

Thanks everyone. Maybebaby, that's reassuring to know. I'm probably being oversensitive anyway.

It'll be nice to have someone in the house to discuss pregnancy with and cycles, etc. My poor DH is getting quite swampd with it all so it'll take the pressure off him!

xx
